Worst thing ever.
« on: June 16, 2004, 03:49:58 PM »
Minted lamb hamburgers.  Ughhhhhhh.  It's like really gamey/gritty meat that tastes like it's been dipped in mint toothpaste and vinegar.   So so so horrible.

Sorry if anyone here is a huge fan, I just couldn't stomach more than 1 bite.  Honestly the worst tasting thing I've ever had in all my life.  Who thought this one up?

EEEWWW!  LAMB!

I make it a personal policy not to eat anything that might appear on an Easter Card.  No ducks, rabbits or LAMBS!  OK, ok.  Yes I eat chicken and eggs-but anything else.  ;)

You must have gotten a bad one - I love the ones at Wetherspoons - they're very yummy, honest!  Not gritty at all!

Yuck!  DF loves Lamb with mint sauce.  Oh lord, it makes me sick just thinking about it.  I was a good girl though and tried it once!...And once was enough! ;)

At our wedding we had these appetizers (part of the meal deal we got)...it was something like chopped liver on a piece of endive...it was nasty.  I actually leaned over the side of the boat when nobody could see me to spit it out.

Hubby says tripe and/or pig's feet.  I've never actually tried either...but I'm willing to give him those, as they both sound pretty awful. :)

I love lamb well prepared....
I am just odd that way... love love love lamb oh and lamb with mint sauce.. yum... had lamb sausages (made with organic stuff) that were yummy.

Have issues with chicken sometimes.... spent some time viewing  a live hang at a poultry plant.... not good...

Really just can't think about it much or I'd most definately never eat meat again. :P Barely eat it now.....

Love lamb. It's wonderful. Not sure about the burgers and generally wouldn't eat it at a chain restaurant or pub.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Not a fan of lamb at all.  Or any kind of meat  paired up with mint for that matter. :-X  They even make Lamb and Mint Crisps (for the lamb lovers out there, they are Walkers Sensations).  My boyfriend loved them.

I'm pretty so-so on lamb. I think I tried it once before moving to the UK and as it does have a fairly distinctive taste I haven't a real taste for it. Funny enough, the only time I did try it was when my ex-mother-in-hell made a lemon-lamb roast with mint sauce. I thought I was going to heave just smelling it. But having made lambs roasts with good roasties and a nice gravy has certainly changed my mind somewhat.
I know I'm late - where's the booze?
