I share your frustration!  I ordered (27) pairs from Zappos- and narrowed them down to the pic attached.

They're more than I wanted to spend ($298), but they are incredibly comfortable (I'd gladly wear them to bed), and I will most def wear them again.

They're Stuart Weitzman, Esteem in Beige Serpent.

I'm in the US right now- I'd be happy to buy them and bring them back?

Can you post a pic of the dress?

I don't have a good one of it as it hasn't been made yet!

I like the Fiori and Carlu.   I'm not a huge fan of dressy sandals, though.  They never seem smart enough.

As for the diamante stuff, I think you're over-anyalizing it.  It's a nice little shiny touch, and won't clash or compromise the dress at all.  After all, the dress will cover the shoes and you'll only see a glimpse of them here or there as you dance or walk around.

You're probably right. I have a tendency to do that!  :P

Of all the ones I posted, the Fiori was my favourite, so I might just go ahead and order them.

I really love those!  And that's what's important - you should buy something you really love (and is comfy, of course).  I could come up with a ton of styles that would work with the dress you described, but they would be nothing you'd like.

Lucky you for finding shoes! I love the details on the shoes you posted. I don't think you have to worry about the diamante bit on the Fiori's at all. I'm sure it will look great peeping out from under your hem!

I *really* like the last pair!  They're sandals, which you wanted, and I don't think the heel is too high - I am a avowed flats wearer but even I can handle a 2.5" heel. :D

I'm not a huge fan of the closed toe ones, really - both because they're closed-toe, and because I have a thing against pointy-toed shoes (which is obviously my own personal preference, rather than a reason for you not to buy them!).

I have to agree with Meg I *really* like the last pair as well.  ;D  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]  I dont like pointy-toed shoes either. I usually only flat as well my wedding shoes were open toe I think they were maybe 1.5" to maybe 2".  Goodluck with whatever you pick.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]  [smiley=clover2.gif]

Beautiful shoes, but I agree with shugga...I'm not a fan of pointy toed shoes either.

I actually kind of like peep toe shoes...I think they're kinda sex-ay... ;)

Is there a Deichmann near you?  They have a great selection of reasonably priced shoes.

Sorry, Devin! I missed your post - I wasn't ignoring you! Nope, I just checked. No Deichmann within 100 miles of here.  :(

Isn't the cost of wedding shoes outrageous?? I wouldn't mind if I knew I was going to wear them multiple times, but 100 quid for one day!? *sigh*

It is ridiculous for one day. But compared with the cost of a wedding dress, I guess £100 isn't that much.  :-\\\\

I dont like pointy-toed shoes either.

Sorry, ladies. Pointy toe it is!  ;D

Those are gorgeous and would be perfect. In fact, I was looking at some Stuart Weitzmans online and spotted them! The problem is timing. Your offer is SO GENEROUS, but I need them by the 18th. Thanks, though!  :-*

So you decided on shoes? :)

I'm going through the same thing right now.  I THINK I've found my pair that I want, but still hemming and hawing...

It is insane that you wear them only once and pay so much.  Although, thinking of possibly having mine dyed later on so I can get my money's worth (since i'm just getting white).

Mine are dyeable, too. I hadn't thought of doing that, but it's not a bad idea. If they were black, I'd probably wear them again. As it is, I'm just getting them in ivory, which is the default colour.  :)

I picked my wedding shoes specifically so I could dye them and wear them again.  I've been married twelve years and they are still sitting in the box, waiting to be dyed. ::)

Oh goodness, Abby!

And oddly enough, the name of the shoes I ordered is "Abby."  I think it's fate. lol
