UK/US: Amy Winehouse denied US work visa

I always wonder about whether celebrities are really made to jump through all the same hoops that the rest of us are.  Like, does Gwyneth Paltrow have to apply for ILR?  Does Johnny Depp need a Tier 2 when he films here?

On s'envolera du même quai
Les yeux dans les mêmes reflets,
Pour cette vie et celle d'après
Tu seras mon unique projet.

Je t'aimais, je t'aime, et je t'aimerai.

Oh yes, they absolutely do!

The firm I sued to work for did visas for the family of a major rock star...which all got very confusing once it transpired that the rock star and his wife were not really married, so their children were not automatically British citizens as they had always thought they were!

How did she get a visa to go on holiday to St Lucia, I wonder?
Good things come to those who wait...a really long time.

She didn't need one.
