I find genuine tears openly expressed by a man very touching and heartmelting. Maybe that accounts for why I love weepy Jack from "LOST" hahahahah!!

I have often found that turning on the waterworks has got me into the pants of otherwise skeptical women...

I was too jaded to ever fall for that.  'Hello, may I buy you a drink?' always worked a lot better.  I'd think, 'Now, you're talking!' ;D

I think that sceptical and skeptical are both right ... one is for the states and one is for the UK ... *smile*

but i'm not sure on that point ... so if i'm wrong -- i wouldn't be surprised.

Mine says he does, though I have never witnessed this event.

As for other guys crying, my dad is a big, loud, gruff and generally grumpy dude, but when our cat died he just stood there and sobbed. He's a big animal lover, and, it turns out, secretly a big softie.
If we called them Sad Meals, no one would buy them.

Think you're right, songbird.

My hubby doesn't actually shed tears, but he does go sort of red and damp around the eyes and sniffle a bit.

The k spelling is truer to the etymology (Greek, skepsis, enquiry or questioning). Both spellings are acceptable on both sides of the Atlantic; one is more common on one side, and one on the other. Anyway, I was trying to be reader-friendly. In fact, I had to have a little cry after you criticized [sic] me...

I've never seen mine cry, but when this happens:

when our cat died

... it's not going to be a pretty sight.  :\\\'(

Oh no!  Don't say that!  I'll have to try to console you, and then...well...who know what might happen!

I was going to write, "I'd better bring my hanky", but then I decided perhaps I shouldn't. So I won't.

When we had to put our cat Smokey to sleep I cried.  DH played the strong, comforter and wrapped me in his arms.  I found that sexier.  ;)

Do UK men cry? In my experience it depends on how hard you kick them.  >:D
