What a scary experience CB.  Like the others have said, I hope you can take some time off to rest and recover.

My mom is in the ICU with a blood infection.  There are no words for how upset I am that I'm not home.

So tough to be so far away in times like that.  I hope she recovers quickly.

Thank you, I'm going home on Saturday.  I have sort of a crazy family experience and it would help if people weren't such f*cking a*sholes.  Excuse my language, but my mom is not my birth mother but has raised me since birth and is an amazing mother.  My younger sister who was raised by my biological mother just posted on my facebook-" mom is fine, don't know what you're talking about."  That woman is not my mother and how cruel to bring up semantics when my mom is very, very, very ill in the ICU.  I'm angry, I'm so upset and I feel like screaming.  Why are people so awful when you're upset?

Excuse the rant above.  I lost the plot a little last night.  I wish I were going home sooner but I'm glad I'm able to go at all.  Thanks everyone.

Don't apologise for how you feel x It's perfectly understandable and unfair on you at such a time.

Glad you're able to get home and hope all goes well
