I just had a call to say that someone I've dealt with on and off over the past 6 years (through work) has died unexpectedly.  Really knocks you for six that sort of news!  I never met her but spoke and e-mailed regularly - my boss was meant to have dinner with her and her husband on Thursday night - now I've got to break the bad news!!

Oh I am sorry to hear this.

Just found out that my college choir director passed away on Friday night... Apparently it was peaceful and he had no pain. But the world will be a different place without him...
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

Elizabeth Edwards. That poor woman has had to deal with so many blows. Sounds like it's time for her to rest.

This isn't quite WTAIA level, and I'm hoping it'll stay that way.

My dog seems sick. :( He was okay last night on our walk, but then didn't seem that into dinner (unusual for him). He ate it after I told him to, but then vomited periodically through the evening. This morning he went on our walk as usual, albeit at a slower pace. He doesn't want breakfast.

I don't know if he just has an upset tummy and needs a day to rest, or if I should drag him to the vet. I'm leaning towards dragging him in, but am not positive. Poor puppy. :(

Poor puppy!  Here's hoping he only has a 24 hour puppy flu.

Dragged him to the vet, who loaded me up with £200 worth of antibiotics, probiotics, special diet stuff, etc. (Probably only £100 worth, the rest was consultation fees and such.)

Here's hoping they work! He seemed a bit more himself at the vet, begging people to love on him.

Thanks for the well-wishes. :) He seems to be doing better now...definitely not a fan of the various medications the vet gave us, but he's quite excited about his new (and temporary) chicken + rice wet food diet.

(The last dog I knew who had tummy issues and lethargy turned out to have advanced liver failure and died about a week later, so I'm very glad this looks like it was just a minor bug!)
