That's great news, equestrianerd! :) The last dog I knew who had stomach issues was mine almost two years ago; he died of kidney failure due to potassium poisoning a week later. So it's a massive relief to hear yours is on the mend!
I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' Kurt Vonnegut

Aw, poor pup. :( I was definitely concerned on the way to/from the vet, especially since my boy's behaviour was so lackluster compared to his normal self. Now he's back to mooching random strangers for loving and bouncing around on our walks, though. :)

Today is the 5th anniversary of my beloved daddy's death from brain cancer, and it's been really difficult to keep it together. I can't just go home and have comfort food because my orchestra has a concert tomorrow, so I have rehearsal from 6:30 to 10. I just want to curl up and cry  :\\\'(

I'm so sorry.  Anniversaries of deaths can be heartbreaking.

So sorry to hear this. :( I hope you can get some quiet time to reflect soon. (And the concert goes well.)

I'm so sorry to hear this. Maybe having such a busy evening will be a help in the end as it'll take your mind off the anniversary. Today is full of unhappy memories, but tomorrow and every other day of the year can be their own anniversary of the good times you spent together...
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London
99-00 - studied at Uni of Sussex on exchange
Feb 02 - moved to London on BUNAC
Sep 02 - WP granted (IT skills shortage list)
Sep 04 - WP renewed
Sep 06 - WP renewed again (screwed by 4-5 year ILR change)
Sep 07 - ILR!
March 09 - Citizenship!
July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!
Oct 12 - Amsterdam FULL marathon! 3:48:23!

>:( I'm sorry.  Anniversaries are so hard.  Birthdays, too.  I mean, every day is hard in it's own way -- not a day goes by that I don't miss my mom -- but those significant days are extra tough.  I hope your rehearsal is a pleasant distraction rather than an additional burden on such a crap day.

I'm really sad for you. I lost my dad ten years ago to cancer, and know how hard these anniversaries can be. Hugs to you.

Today my FIL went into hospital by ambulance with suspected pneumonia - he was very confused this morning and couldn't sit up, kept falling asleep while the paramedics were trying to check him, etc. They aren't quite sure what is going on, but he isn't doing very well, he is diabetic and his blood sugar has been very high, too. Fingers crossed he starts feeling better.  :-\\\\ :\\\'(

Big Hugs to all those dealing with loss, illness & just downright crappy things happening to them & their loved ones. It just makes the holidays that much more difficult...sending good thoughts & prayers out to everyone.

My mom's kidneys have officially failed.  She's been put on the transplant list and needs dialysis.  :\\\'( I can't give her a kidney because we don't have the same blood type.   >:( :( :\\\'(
