So sorry to hear that, PL. :( Big hugs to you and your family.

I'm having breast surgery on the 18th of Feb, kind of an IA/UP, but I now think I may have a stomach ulcer from being on antibiotics every day for the last four months and DH just laughed at me for booking a doctor's appointment because he thinks it's just something I've eaten and I'm being a hypochondriac. My stomach and chest are on fire and I couldn't sleep last night because I kept vomiting up stomach acid. Thanks for the support!  >:(

Oh no Jewlz!  I hope it isn't something too serious and easily fixable!  You don't need an ulcer too!

Oh I hope you start feeling better soon once you've come through all this!

Thanks. I just phoned my consultant's nurse and since he just switched the antibiotics at my appointment two days ago, she thinks it may be the new tablets causing a bad reaction, as I have only been taking them for two days. Consultant is out today, but nurse said my GP can switch me back to the other tablets I was taking to see if that helps. If I am still having stomach trouble, then I am supposed to phone back next week to see if there is any way I can stop antibiotics before surgery to ease stomach pain. I told DH and now he feels like a jerk (yes, he should) which has given me at least some satisfaction.  [smiley=smartass.gif]

Hope the switch back to the old tablets works, Jewlz. And good luck with the surgery. I'll be thinking of you. ((hugs))

PL - I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather.  My thoughts go out to you.

Jewlz - I really hope all goes well for you and that you're feeling better soon.  I can't begin to imagine how you must feel.

Princesslemons, I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather.  :(

Jewlz, I hope it was only the antibiotics giving you trouble and that the switch will make you feel better.  I'll be thinking of you on the 18th.

Thank you everyone for the support. :-* We're doing okay here. DH's uncle is flying over to see how he is, and then we're going to make our travel plans. But DH is coping very well.
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

Thanks for the support, everyone. My GP didn't want to switch the antibiotics since I am preparing for surgery, but has given me something to ease my stomach pain and nausea, so hopefully that will help. I feel better today, so I think it is helping already!

(((HUGS))) to you and your DH, PL.  :-*

My BFF has been getting her skin checked regularly every 6 months as she's had a few squamous cells removed -- mostly from her arms. She spotted what looked like a blackhead on her face (jaw area) and rushed to her doctor. They took it off and said it was OK but want her to come back to get more cut out to make sure. Hope it's OK and they don't make a mess of her face  :(
