Not looking good.  This round of chemo postponed because blood count too low.  I'm going back on the 27th.

Oh no! I hope things will turn around for E soon!  :\\\'( I'm still thinking of you both.

vnicepeeps, I'm sorry to hear about your uncle.  :\\\'(

I woke up this morning with the taste of blood in my mouth.

Time to start taking the "sticky blood" pill again in addition to the 3 antibiotics and the anti-fungal I'm already on... :( The most fun part is that some half to be taken on an empty stomach, some on a full stomach, and some can't have dairy within X hours of them. I'm somehow keeping it all in my head at the moment, but I think it'd take up an entire spreadsheet if I ever had to write it all down.

10 days to go before it's someone else's problem (doctors' nurses' and professors')!

I'm sorry.  Hope they can get you sorted out soon.
Sometimes you really do have to make up an entire spreadsheet for all your meds.

Oh dear, i just read this, good luck with everything. If you need anything, let me know! :)

Mine is that today I met up with some people and they told me someone I used to work with committed suicide, he jumped from the White cliffs of Dover, and they found his car with "clover over dover" by Blur playing on repeat parked nearby.

I keep listening to the song

"I'm on the white cliffs of dover
Thinking it over and over
But if I jump its all over
A cautionary tale for you

And now the bluebirds are over
Over the white cliffs of dover
So when you push me over
Don't bury me i'm not worth anything "

Bless his heart :/

MK (CB), I'm so sorry.  My family lost a dear, dear friend to suicide this year in January.  I still struggle with it, and sometimes cry about Brad out of the blue. PM me if you'd like to talk at all.

oh geez, MaryKate, I'm sorry.

I actually came in here  to post that our cat disappeared on Friday morning and we can't find him anywhere. He's never been gone for more than an hour before and NEVER misses a mealtime so we know he's trapped somewhere and can't make himelf heard and now that it's 48 hours we're really really frantic and sobbing over him. Everyone's telling us miraculous tales of their cats that went days or weeks trapped places but Bosco's such an affectionate people wh*re that I know he's suffering right now and really scared. And selfishly, we really need him the most right now, too. I go into hospital tomorrow for 6 weeks when I won't be able to see or cuddle him at all, and my fiance was depending on him to help cope with being separated from me and now he's going to be left all alone.

I'm not even a cat person - he's the only cat I've ever loved and he's just got SO much personality in such a small frame, and we're having trouble sleeping and eating waiting for him to come home. Our only hope is that he's stuck on one of the few boats where the neighbours have been away all weekend and he'll pop out when they come home tonight. But we've thought that a couple times already and they've come home and nothing, so who knows...

(to answer the obvious - he's fallen in twice before and can climb out himself. And there were so many people around on Friday morning that they'd have heard him yowl if that happened)

Oh, no, squirrellypoo, I'm so sorry - I really hope he shows up soon!  I know how frightening it is to not know where your kitty is, especially when the kitty in question is not the type to stay away for any length of time at all.  I'm thinking about you!

thanks, Meg, it must've worked! I heard some faint meowing yesterday but not enough to determine where they were coming from. So I went out and kept calling again and again and eventually I was standing talking to one of the workmen and Bosco stuck his head out from behind a corner inside a hatch in the boat next door!! So I immediately got so excited I started crying and phoned my fiance and he came straight home and he went down in the hatch and carried him out.

He's a little bit lighter for his long weekend away but otherwise fine and VERY affectionate now. And the hospital rang to say I'm being admitted this morning instead of last night so I got an extra night to cuddle my kitty, too. :D

So I'm much more okay with spending 6 weeks away from him in hospital now (posting from my room, woop!).

Squirrellypoo, that is such great news! When you posted your IA about your cat I was so sad and I said little kitty prayers for you. I knew how much comfort your cat would give you and your fiance during this difficult time and I was so wishing you'd find him. I'm so happy your family is back together!  :D
