Oh my poor friend with bone marrow cancer, she fell yesterday- and because she has a very large tumour around her pelvis and femur bones- she broke part of her femur bone and dislocated her hip and is in hospital now, because they can't reset it properly because of the tumour
Poor girl can't catch a break  :\\\'(

Oh no! How are her platelets doing? My first thought was of the bruising and internal bleeding... When mine were low, I didn't have to do anything at all to get bleeding under the skin, and knocks and bumps took literally months to heal. :(
Summer 97 - first visited friends in London
99-00 - studied at Uni of Sussex on exchange

Sep 06 - WP renewed again (screwed by 4-5 year ILR change)
Sep 07 - ILR!
March 09 - Citizenship!
July 09 - bone marrow transplant :(
18 Sep 10 - wedding!
Mar 12 - half marathon in Paris! 1:47:12!
Oct 12 - Amsterdam FULL marathon! 3:48:23!

I am not sure how she's doing- I am going to call her later today to see how's she's getting on!  My sisters went to visit her yesterday in hospital, so I'm gonna try and get an update from them via email as well.

Spending all night at the hospital with my FIL...was there today and he seemed all good about 4pm the neighbor called as the doctor had been there and called an ambulance...he was confused and lost function of his legs.
We think it might have been a stroke - dont know yet
Getting home at 12 and going back tomorrow. He is freaking me out a bit as he keeps saying pet you make me smile and I see things so clear now and me you and DH need to sit down....Then as MIL and I were leaving he was talking about seeing ghosts in the hospital room  :(
I hope by tomorrow we will know more

I'm sorry to hear about your friend PB - just what she didn't need.

ChillyWillly, I'm sending best wishes for your FIL's recovery.

Aquila, are you doing any better?

Thanks guys...we are STILL waiting to hear from a doctor but will head up there this afternoon.  Seriously my MIL, FIL and I sat laughing and cracking jokes from 6ish till 1130 when we left.  He was so appreciative as he said he didnt want to get into his own head ;-)
Its hard since DH is not home (offshore) and wont be home till Tuesday but thank goodness for cell phones as he called and got to talk to FIL last night and that made DH feel better.
