I think I have an ovarian cyst that may have ruptured last night. I should have gone to A & E last night as I was in absolute agony, but then after the waves of pain stopped, I was so tired and miserable that I just took a strong painkiller and went to sleep. Now I may have to go anyway, I'm just waiting for the GP to phone back after NHS Direct said they were going to phone him. I feel so nauseous and tired today I hardly want to move.
I have a scan booked in on Tuesday anyway, because somehow I knew that I might have one so I asked my GP to send me for a scan a couple of weeks ago, so at least that is already scheduled, which will save some time, I guess.
It's just really scary because a friend of mine on Facebook just posted some horrible pictures of her giant swollen abdomen due to a cyst she had that ruptured and she ended up having her ovary and fallopian tube removed, so I'm of course thinking of the worst case scenario.
I've had some problems with cysts before - one that ruptured and one that hemorrhaged, so I can say with near certainty that I'm having a similar problem now.
