Thanks again everyone. I had the scan on Tuesday, but they didn't find anything. Still, I had some serious cramps for about 6 days, which is highly unusual for me! I am finally starting to feel a bit better, but slowly. I have an appointment with my GP next Thursday to discuss everything, but it doesn't look like there is any evidence to point to anything from my exam, scan or blood test. I hope he doesn't think I made it all up or anything, I swear I wouldn't spend my Saturday evening in A & E just for fun or attention.  >:( But, of course, it's good news that they didn't see anything in the scan. If it was a cyst that ruptured, it must have just passed on, so hopefully no more problems.  :-\\\\

Hopefully, that is an end to it. I doubt anyone would want to spend any time at all in A&E!  :P

My grandparents' health is declining, and I'm not sure how much more I'll get to see them. :(

My grandfather had a stroke 6-7 years ago, and has had some minor ones since. In the last month, he's fallen several times. :( He's still doing OK mentally (though I think one of the recent falls was a head blow, which affected his speech a bit), but obviously not so much physically.

My grandmother has Alzheimer's. :( She's not so hot physically, either (bad knees/hips). Mentally she's mostly still "with it" (she knows who people are, and what happened last week, but not necessarily what she did/said last hour), but I don't know how long that will last.

I'm looking into adding a leg to my Thanksgiving trip to go see them. I was hoping to put that off until next summer, since the trip already involves 2 legs (and coasts), and I don't really fancy MI in the winter, but oh well. I just hope they're still in semi-decent shape by then.

Big hugs EN. I hope you get to see them in November and that they're still in good shape.

Hugs Love.

The declining health of loved ones, seems to be this horrible consequence of getting older, as you age, so do they and it's absolutely heartbreaking to watch.

Thanks. The sad thing is they're not that old (mid-70s). My grandfather, especially, was in great shape prior to his strokes.

Hugs EN.  It's so difficult to deal with this stuff even when you're nearby.  I hope you get a chance to see them, and that they start doing better.

Thanks. I wasn't very close to them prior to moving here (east coast vs midwest), but at least getting out there on short notice was a lot more doable.

The family's doing a get-together over July 4 weekend that would've been great to attend, but my work schedule's insane for the summer and flight prices are pretty nuts as well.

Sympathies, EN. It's tough.
My father had Parkinson's (but mentally alert) and my mother was in early Alzheimer's (but very fit physically) so, in a way, they evened each other out for quite a while.

Just heard that a cousin's husband has suddenly passed away. They had no children and she had been laid off a while back and was taking her time finding another job. So it's going to be very hard.
