Well- they're working out, kind of.
She's still in a great deal of pain and made it back to the ER on Monday night.  She's not in hospital, but she's meeting with a surgeon right now - they think she may need it still.   :-\\\\

The surgery seems to indicate it's manageable. Hope the ER was just for the check up and not related nasties. Thinking good thoughts.

Sister came out of surgery. They removed a giant cyst full of all kinds of nasties.
But she's good and recovering and will be home later - just day surgery for her.
I am so relieved for her!!!!

Wow, PB! Just getting caught up! Hugs!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Thanks!  :-* :-*

She's resting up - she's feeling much better, but worse (in a different way) today.  I'm relieved and anxious for her to feel better.

So my 67 year old mom had her gallbladder out on Thursday last week. They told her she would be up and around in a couple of days. Last night I spoke to her and my dad (who is oxygen dependent and house bound due to the flu season being so bad) and mom was in bad shape. I told her, if you're no better tomorrow call the doctor. Then she cried saying she had no one to take her since dad can't go out. Anyway, fast forward to this afternoon and I get a message from sister in law saying mom is in the emergency room, delirious and in agony. An hour later we get the results...she has pneumonia  :-[ This happened last time I lived in the UK, but it  was dad and he almost died. I hate being so far from them right now.  :\\\'(

I'm so sorry, Kbeech06!  :(  I hope your mother is on the mend soon.

Thanks guys...she's being admitted which is good. Best place for her. Hopefully dad can cope on his own. Feel guilty that its all falling on my brother and sister in law. Thank God for them.

Came back from a 2 week holiday to learning of lots of redundancies in my company.  I am pretty sure I am OK, but my boss is out this week, so I can't be sure.  However, I have several colleagues and friends who are not so lucky.   I have two friends who moved up here in the last year or so from other places and they're at risk or going now.   :\\\'(
