Very very sad. Thoughts and prayers for her and David's family.
I am friends with her on facebook and just looking through her pictures, I could feel and see how deeply her and David loved each other.

My best friend's brother passed away after she flew back home to visit for Easter holiday. It's been about a week and I don't even know how it happened. She's taking it really hard and I don't know what to say. I can't even imagine what she is going through.

It absolutely drove my family to the ground last year when my brother was injured at work. I don't have children so I can't imagine what they were feeling but I still remember my parents' faces when they found out.

It's very hard to lose a sibling, especially at a young age. I read somewhere that losing your parent is like losing your past; losing your child is losing the future; but losing a sibling you are losing both the past you shared and all your future companionship as well. I feel very sad for your friend and know it's hard for you too.

Forum member Oddityness asked me to pass on the news that at 11am this morning, her husband David passed away.

I am so sorry for Oddityness and also the family. You hope for the best with cancer but it's very powerful in many cases. It's hard to remember to be grateful for the time you did have together. There is really nothing anyone can do or say except we are all thinking of her.
