Jewlz, your procedure sounds like a nightmare.  I hope you don't have to do it again and I hope the job situation doesn't turn out to be as bad as your husband fears.

I have had a totally sh!tty, stressful day. Due to an error by my mortgage company, my house in the US is months away from being foreclosed upon. Now I have to wait around for at least a week for them to do their 'investigation' so they can pay the taxes they owe!

Thanks, everyone. It has been looking really grim up there for a while, but apparently it's been pandemonium while I've been on the sick.  (Not that it's my fault!  ) Poor DH is under enormous stress at the moment and terrified of what will happen, and he isn't usually much of a worrier.
