Trees are budding! And our resident birds have moved back in to the tree directly above our car. Disgusting, but friendly with all the chirping and tweeting and singing, and the warring with the squirrels who have also returned. Apparently, it snowed out in Cheshire, but we didn't have any in the city centre, and it wasn't all that cold.
Yay!

Been sweating at night with the flannel sheets so probably change to normal ones next time I change the bed.

I've been getting too hot under the winter duvet some lately (not sure how much is due to milder temps & how much due to hormones - lol!) but I think it might be a bit too early still to switch it over for the summer duvet.

My husband said it was snowing the other night. Does it usually snow into March?

Where I live, it snowed a good bit of the morning & part of the afternoon on Saturday - but it was a typical English snow...it was pretty heavy & wet snow (big flakes), then in the afternoon, it warmed up enough, a light mist/rain moved in & melted it all away - all in the same day!  We've had some snow here as late as early April!  In the time that I've been living here anyway.  But it doesn't tend to stick around for very long.

And our resident birds...but friendly with all the chirping and tweeting and singing...

You know I have noticed the birds singing a lot more this winter - all through the winter!  I think it might be because my frame of mind was a little better this year than the last couple of years (right after my mom died).  We have a blackbird that sits in a certain tree a few houses down & just sings and sings and sings.  :)

Depends on the part of the UK really.  We had a little snow on our wedding day (5 years ago this coming Thursday) and really cold and windy in Coventry.

Even here in the not-quite-far-reaches of Scotland, there are snow drops in bloom! crocuses have buds, but daffodils are still just stalks.  Except the bouquet I bought at the store which has bloomed and are filling the room with the look and smell of spring. I love how cheap daffodils are.

;D  It was so beautiful here on 1 March. I want weather like that all the time!

Any sign of daffodils yet? It's one of my favourite times of year. I vow to go and take photos of Warkworth Castle all surrounded by daffodils this year... it's amazing!

Down here in Bristol we had snow on Easter Sunday one year (it was several years ago though)! It was only a few flakes and it didn't settle, but it was still snow :P.

It's still cold enough right now for frost in the mornings if we have a clear night (no cloud) - I've been weather observing in Shropshire the last 2 weeks and last week they had warmer temperatures of 13 degrees (55F) with quite a lot of cloud, but this week it's only been about 6 degrees (43F) and they had frost on 2 mornings!

I love the daffodils too!  They're not quite blooming here yet, but apparently they're blooming near the south coast of Devon where my in-laws live, so it can't be too far off for us.  :)

Well, we've actually managed to see the sun here today and there's actually a bit of warmth in it as well!  As such, the dog is currently displaying his own "Celebration of Spring" which involves lying belly up in the garden and, I guess, working on his tan.  :P  ;D
