I suppose I have a number of foods that I don't like but when it comes to foods that I just down right find disgusting it would be mayo and mushrooms.  My BF loves mayo on his sandwiches and I usually just sit there with a look of disgust on my face when he is making his sandwich.  Blah!

sweet and sour I don't like, I don't like to have pineapple with gammon, or apple sauce with pork etc. I don't mind the individual things but I just prefer not to have the sweet with the savoury.
Things I didn't used to like as a kid were celery, broad beans, blue or mature cheeses but that changes. I don't mind broad beans or celery now and I love blue and mature cheeses.
Don't like overcooked (mushy) veggies.
Oh and canned tuna heated up (e.g. on pizza) is just vile!
McDonalds burgers - they make my jaw ache....must be MSG or something.

Cooked celery
Jaffa cakes
Mature Cheddar
Blue Cheese
Tea biscuits

I'll take all your peas, yum, yum!!

I'll trade you my peas for your Jaffa Cakes! :D

5) Courgette

Add me to that list.  I had a bad experience once, and now they make me gag.

Oh, and I know AnneR would slap my wrist for forgetting this one:  Coriander/cilantro.  Blurgh.

I'll take any unwanted Jaffa Cakes also!!  This thread has got me thinking that taste buds are so strange... I could eat Jaffa Cakes everyday for the rest of my life and Phat cant stand them.  I wonder scientifically why that is?  Different connection from the tastebuds to the brain? or do they actually TASTE different to different people?  Hmm...

Black pudding
Offal
Fresh tomatoes
Turnips
Jerusalem artichokes
Fiddly shellfish - things you have to peel that get your fingers all messy & the food gets cold while you're getting it undressed
Pâté
Beer

Hmmm - I'm sure there's some other things.

Really?!?!

Yes!  I'm funny about tomatoes - will eat them cooked any way (as long as they are well cooked in a sauce, stew, etc).  Only fresh if they are chopped up really fine - like in salsa with lots of chilies & other stuff.  I've always been like this & one of my brothers is the same way, so I probably got it from him.

Ah, finally someone came up with one.  Mushrooms.  I love mushrooms, but raw mushrooms are pretty vile.  They taste like dirt to me.   [smiley=bleck.gif]

Coriander/cilantro.  Blurgh.

That one does seem to be a love/hate one....see Tim Lovejoy on Something For The Weekend - he hates it.

I love it, my favourite herb!

Me too!  Love cilantro.  Indian and Mexican food need cilantro!

I've heard some people taste coriander differently.  It always tastes ghastly and chemical like to me.

Fried onions, creamed mushrooms, strawberries, chocolate (any) and honey.

Oh, and black pepper. I know it's in everything I eat, but if it's so coarsely ground that I can taste it, I can't eat it.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"
