I'm getting sick of the phrase 'credit crunch'.  Especially when every restaurant has a 'credit crunch dinner' or shops have 'credit crunch sales'.  It's a bloody economic depression, stop sugar coating it just because 'credit crunch' has nice alliteration!

Hmmm....that must be the UK equivalent of 'stimulus' here in the US. A local car dealer said 'stimulus' 4 times in their 30 second advert.  ::)

Sentences that being with "Obviously." If it's so obvious, why are you saying it?
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Me too!  I say 'freaking' and 'frickin' all the time!

I do as well.  It started when I realized I needed to alter my rather sailor-ish vocabulary around the kid.

I knew a guy in college that started every sentence with "basically."  It didn't matter how long or complex the sentence that followed was, it always started with "basically."

I get annoyed when people say 'actually' when they are trying to give a compliment. Like, 'that dress is actually pretty' or 'that meal was actually good.' It's just proof of low expectations.

They usually start it with "wow" too, like you accomplishing something worthy of a compliment is super-dooper unbelievable.

I used to work at a media company were the buzzword was "cutting edge".

I met up with my old boss recently and asked if the term was still in use. "no" he replied with a smile. "It's LEADING edge these days".

My former boss used to say "for future reference" when letting you know you did something wrong. Drove me mad.  :-X

I can add to that list:
excape for escape
axed for asked
chew for you (mainly heard in songs)

I could go on and on!
