British chocolate is so much creamier!! I think a Cadbury chocolate/ peanut butter cup would be incredible!!!

I've always loved M&M's, but they've been replaced by the British Galaxy Minstrels--they're DIVINE!!! MY British DB really likes the American Almond Joy bars, but I wonder if they're available in Britain as well?

I've seen Almond Joy and Baby Ruth at Fenwick's. Not sure where else you might find them.

Darn!  Much too far to go from here.....

Has anybody seen Butterfingers? When I was in UK I was told they didn't sell them  :\\\'(

We used to have a bar exactly like Butterfingers here years ago.  I remember eating them as a child in the mid 1970s, but I can't remember what they were called or who made them at that time.

OK, went to Fenwick's in Newcastle city centre last weekend, here is what they had (from what I remember):

Reese's Pieces
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Reese's BIG peanut butter cups (i got one of these and almost died and went to heaven!)
Hershey Kisses (I have bought the ones with almonds in before, but didn't see them this time)
Hershey Miniatures
Mr Goodbar
Hershey Cookies and Cream Bars
Hershey milk chocolate bars
Hershey milk chocolate and almond bars
Peanut Butter M & M's

I think that was about it this time, but they definitely had Baby Ruth and Nutrageous bars there when I went the time before, but they weren't there this time.
Just giving you guys the scoop. Here is their site, with a list of locations:

If anyone is around Wales, the food section in Howells Dept store in Cardiff has an American corner.  I've often bought Baby Ruths and Butterfingers there--along with canned pumpkin, macaroni and cheese, A&W Root Beer, Creme Soda, Lucky Charms, and a variety of other things.  I can't resist stopping by when I'm in the area to see what they have in stock that month.  My favourite was when they stocked salt water taffy that came from a sweets shop in my home town!!  I about fell over.  It was a bit of a ripoff, but I had to buy it!

Why on earth would a health food shop be selling American candy.  ??? Not so healthy! And like those who are trying to be healthy by shopping there really need the temptation!  :P

There's an old saying:

"A little of what you fancy does you good." (Or maybe my mum made that up?!  :D )

Ergo, chocolate, being "good" for you (or at least for the soul!) is....a health food..... ::) That's my story and I'm sticking to it.  ;D

Reese's Pieces & Nutrageous are in my local Tesco now.   They're not original American packaging though, so are the recipes exactly the same or are they made under license here with slightly different ingredients?

I just stumbled upon this mail-order outfit which has Reese's products among others, although the prices aren't the greatest:

I wonder that too (I didn't buy/taste) as I know that when I saw "British" chocolate in the US, and eagerly bought it, I was always disappointed as it actually tasted nothing like the UK original. I then read the small print on the back and invariably found it was "Manufactured in Hershey, Pennsylvania under licence from Cadburys" or whomever......they were most certainly not using the original recipe.

Also found, the bulk sweets section at Selfridges at the TC in Manchester has tootsie rolls and tootsie pops...I think they cost £1.85 for 100 g. I am rarely desperate enough to buy American sweets, but these almost got me (except I had just spent £15 on lunch at Yo Sushi...so I didn't)
