Me! Me!  We are beyond excited.  And we're playing our favorite game at work, which is deciding whether we as a team could have beaten the winning team!

Bring it on, I love The Apprentice!

I think it's great that they are adapting the formula this year to suit the economic climate.  Should make for an interesting series this year!

What are they doing to adapt it? I haven't heard about this!

I'll probably have to watch it on iPlayer, so likely not until tomorrow morning.  :(

I really enjoy this show, so I will definately be watching it.  My favorite part is when Alan Sugar starts yelling at them and knocks them down a few pegs.

Instead of having lavish meals and stuff, they are going to be reduced to packed lunches.  Atleast that's what I heard.

What are they doing to adapt it? I haven't heard about this!

Apparently, they are setting the tasks around recessionary interests, such as helping existing businesses to expand in an environment of contraction.

I saw a photo of the flat where they'll be staying throughout the series (I say flat, but I think it's on 2 or 3 levels - can't remember - more than one though), and it's flash - it's even got two boardrooms so they can work together in teams more easily.  So they are apparently not making the living conditions recessionary, only the tasks.

After all, we still need escapism (perhaps now more than ever).

ETA:  Here is a link to 7 photos of the penthouse (not flat - I stand corrected):

One more thing, I don't like spoiling episodes for people, so I won't give specifics, but I read a quote made by Margaret regarding the car wash task that is hilarious - don't miss it.

She is AWESOME!

ETA: *Spoiler alert* ... but if you want to spoil things by reading Margaret's remark, here it is:

I'm not clicking on your link 'cause I don't like spoilers, but I have to agree about Margaret! She's GREAT!! I'd love to go out for a drink with her!  :)

I really miss the UK version of this show - I nearly laughed out loud when I was at a concert last week and they played the piece from Romeo & Juliet (ballet, by Prokofiev) and I realized it never clicked that that's the opening for Sir Alan!
Not sure what it is, but though the Trump version was the original, I just don't get a kick out of it as much as the British version.
Hopefully they'll show it on BBC America... and I'll get my spoilers from you lot! :)

I am jealous because I really miss the UK Apprentice! :( The US version is not as good.

That said, the only Apprentice over here that I have seen (last year and now currently showing) is the Celebrity Apprentice.

I wish BBC America would show the UK version!

LOL! I can't hear Wagner without singing "Kill the Wabbit"!  ;D

I didn't think Anita should have been fired last night. She messed up, but no more than anyone else - and less than the other two who were in the boardroom with her. They all knew how much was being spent and I think only one person said anything about it, and that was well after the fact. Sir Alan does get it wrong once in a while.

I watched it tonight and there are a few "quiet" ones such as the Industrialis HR Consultant, who I think may possibly rise from the ashes - but, I would perhaps be a bit biased  ;)

The food that both teams served tonight was crap! I am suprised the girls made money in all fairness.

I was seriously annoyed last night, as the girls basically served value tuna on Ryvita and got away with a "win".  I thought they did FAR worse than the boys and just merely got lucky the client wasn't a hard-ars* and paid them £500 (I wouldn't have paid a penny for that low-quality food).

The bit that annoyed me was that most of these people work in a corporate setting, so they should KNOW what catered lunches & canapes consist of.  I'm no high-flyer, but I've had enough "business lunches" (sandwiches on a platter) to know what's generally acceptable!  I can't believe they were so ignorant when they must eat this sort of stuff weekly!!

I wanted to punch all of them after last night...apart from the Geordie bloke who knew it was all going pear shaped.
