Stolen Passport with Spouse Visa inside!!

They gave me a new passport (fee payable unfortunately)


* HOw much did you have to pay? Also I have to change my name as well, so I can do that when getting the new one? Brilliant because I thought I would have to get my old one then have my name changed in it. Oh this is a pain haha

I think the Embassy in London is no longer able to print US passports, if I remember a news story from a while back, and it will have to be printed in the US and then sent over. But you still need to apply in person at the Embassy.  I'm not completely sure about this though. I was able to walk out with mine because it was a few years ago.

There's no fee to change your name to your married name so I just did it while there instead of worrying about Royal Mail again.
