LMAO!!!  ;D  I met a guy once called Azure Sky. His parents were obviously hippies.  :P

I climbed with a guy called Nevada.  Man, he was fine, too.  Too bad he was dumber than a post.

I loved the name Felix.  To me it suggested Mendelssohn and the Latin word for happy.  Ross said it's a cat food.  Stupid narrowminded people and their brand recognition!!  Or Josephine (my great great grandmother's name), but he said no, he hates the nickname Josie.   >:(
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

I always liked the name Lauren and I like Henry. DH likes the traditional names (William, Charles, James, etc), so it looks like if we ever have a son it will be named after a king! Unfortunately though, Henry isn't one that he likes!  :P

mm...my DH (even though he likes William) does not like Liam because he thinks "it's a chav name." Whereas when I think of the name, I think of Liam Neeson, not chavs!

LOL I had the same conversation with my DH about the names Liam and Gavin.  (yes, so I was a grunge rocker in the 90s if you couldnt tell by my choice of names!)
Luckily, we're fairly anti-kid, so I think we wont have to argue over this too much. :)

Next gray cat we have would be "Gris Gris" (Chas. de Gaulle's cat).  We have already had a "Grimalkin" and the ever-popular "Maxwell" (although that was the name they gave him in the shelter.
Other famous cat names I like are "Hodge" (Samuel Johnson's) and "Geoffrey" (Christopher Smart's).
Knew somebody who named their cats "Blicket" and "Wicket" (i.e. Black Cat and White Cat).

Ella is absolutely beautiful I think, if I had a daughter I'd name her that, but Steve's only daughter is Ella, so it'd be confusing to have two running around :P So I'd have to pick something else, though I generally think I lean towards more traditional names, maybe Samantha or Luke or something (what's with the Luke love in this thread? :P).

We almost named our last cat Grimalkin, but DH decided we'd shorten it to "Grim" and that wouldn't be good. We ended up calling him Damien instead. (He showed up on my doorstep on 6/6/06, so we had to make an effort).

My vet said "be careful what you wish for" and she was right -- he was an evil little sucker.

I used to go to the gym with this gal who had a daughter named, I kid you not!, Dazzle Star.

One of my best friends in elementary school was called Lavender Morning Knight.  Her brother's name was Sable, and her stepsiblings were Autumn Star, Casey Comfort, and Oakley Omega.

My one criterion for my child's name is that it not be popular.  I have a very popular first name, and I really hated having to identify myself by my last initial, and having three other people with my name sitting next to me in school.  Which means some names I love like Caitlin and Charlotte are probably out  >:(  Oh well.

My best friend is about to have a little girl she's calling Julianna Rose.  I think that's beautiful.

Maybe "Grim" would have been appropriate after all.

An English guy I very briefly dated in the states had a cat named Winston.  :)
I also like the name Henry. DH named his son Jay, but originally wanted to name him Tom (yep, just Tom) so he's pretty hip on the short, regular name.

hmmm I don't have children of my own but having thought about it once or twice my pick for a girl was Rosalie Claire and for a boy probably David something.

My hubby has a daughter named Samantha Fiona which I find lovely.

My sister would have chosen for a girl Emily or Amanda Grace.

Lastly, we have two boy cats, we named Frankie and Benny.  I wanted Fred and Barney but hubby would not hear of it.  But if we got a dog too (house too small) I would love a beagle I'd name Fred.  Phew.  Guess I put more thought into that than I thought!  lol

David is a lovely name (my DH's)  :-* But you'd have to make sure people called him David, not Dave.  What a waste of such a nice name! :)

Sharing the name with Mr Handsome himself, Gerard Butler, has to help :)
