Just curious if anyone knows the answer to this. My cat is already microchipped with a 24-Petwatch chip, which all start with the number 01A. Recently at the vet, we discovered he has a second microchip, which must have been put in before we adopted him. I'm just curious about this second chip and who made it - does anyone know if the other microchip companies have "signatures" to their chip numbers, like all beginning or ending with a certain number or letter? It's 10 digit by the way and was read using the homeagain universal scanner. Thanks!
