I haven't had much motivation lately, either, and haven't been very good on the calorie maintenance front the last few days. I haven't even quit smoking yet and already I am eating more!  :-\\\\ But, I have to prioritize my goals. I don't want to gain too much weight while quitting, but I definitely have to keep most of my attention in the quitting arena. Whatever happens, I can lose any weight gained once I have my lung function under control. It will definitely make exercising a bit more tolerable.  :P

Just from experience, I'd suggest focus on the balance between stopping smoking, eating as healthily as possible - less focus on caloric intake - and regular exercise. I'd throw out the scale, personally, as any weight gain may demotivate or depress you from focussing on the successes and healthy things you are doing. My sister in a nurse and definitely says that if you are doing all of those things, any weight gain is less of a health concern.  :)

But do what you need to. And sending you good luck vibes.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

First day in ages getting some exercise in. Going to the pool for some laps and a good stretch out.  However, my waterproof MP3 player has stopped working and I really have trouble with my motivation for laps without music.  But I really need the stretch- so...  I will make myself go.

No gym last night as Mr MLG came home late, so went for a walk in the park instead.

Had a good weekend exercise wise to make up for my lack of effort during last week-
Swimming, walking, and a 12 mile bike ride today.   :)

We walked 6.75 miles yesterday and it didn't even feel like it! I love Sunday walks!

I could have gone on to quote most everyone on this thread!  You all make me feel super lazy and unfit!!  I could never ride 12 miles in one day or walk 6 miles and have it feel like nothing!

I was actually more sore from cleaning my flat on Friday than I was from the walk.  :P

Did 10 k last night and went up 1500 metres. Will try the same again tonight if I can, but this'd be the third day.

All I can say is ouch!  :P

Yeah, me either. And I restarted this thread. I guess this is my punishment!  :P

I did do quite a bit of walking yesterday at Holy Island, but I'm not sure how much. My lower back was aching by the time we left, so I guess it was a fair amount.  :-\\\\

Just started my half marathon training.  Damn, the worst runs will be when it's the most hot outside.  OH WELL.

Didn't go on that day, but did 10 km uphill last night and I think it's actually been 1750 metres (I can't add  :-\\\\) and will walk home tonight. Maybe go to the park after supper with Mr MLG and see if the chickens are awake.  :P
