I bought full fat the other day b/c it was late and aldi was there and thats what they had...
DH said ohh WOW I never buy that it goes bad faster....I never looked but I think full fat expires quick? So DH always buy 2%.  When he is off shore I buy the one in the white carton that lasts longer since I only use for coffee really ;-)

Totally off topic sorry ;-)

I have never noticed that it goes bad faster.  That doesn't matter since it gets used up anyway before that.  Back in my bad old days I used to get half and half and always used it up before it went bad, but I only got the little container.

Yay! I've been walking at least 30 mins to an hour each day, so that's a good start. And I've been eating much, much healthier the last few days and hope to continue with that.  :)

Good for you!  Really sounds like you are feeling healthier. Yay you. :)

I am just taking it easy and I know if I persist, I'll get my fitness levels up again.

We will get there! I was going to start the 30 Day Shred, but think I better stick to walking and riding my bike for a bit first, just to get my energy level up.  ;)

Making no progress... up and down with the same 3 pounds...

Because my body is in a lot of pain lately-  yay for autoimmune connective tissue disease :-\\\\-  it makes it really too difficult to do any exercise - (definitely no 30 minute shred or 2 hour gym sessions for me- I'd probably end up in hospital!!)  so I can only modify my food intake- which has been a series of ups and downs- traveling for work doesn't help  - and well I'm just full of excuses  :P

Managed to walk to and from work Monday and yesterday, though because of body aches, I walk slower than a whale trying to walk on the beach,  so I'm sure it doesn't really offer any benefits

Really just posting to try and motivate myself!!!!

I'm impressed, too pb!  And any walking is good even if it's not fast.  It still gets the blood flowing and those positive brain chemicals (forget what they are called) firing.  Clears away the cobwebs from your mind and spirit as well!

Thanks! Yeap, sure am.  I ride quite slowly and play with all my gears to make the hills go OK.  I don't get anywhere fast and I have to take loads of breaks but I do enjoy it  :)

Thanks- I quite enjoy walking to work in the cold - gets me going in the morning.  :)

PB, don't be hard on yourself. The best advice I ever got from a trainer is something is better than nothing. Just do what you can in the eating healthy and keeping active stakes. Sometimes, health issues can impact fitness and there's no point to beat yourself up about it. Life is just too short. I'd love to be able to ride a bike - the freedom!  :)

I am taking time off from the gym following a hospital procedure (from the year of illness), so hoping I am in less pain soon! At least it means more Mr MLG time!  :)

I've been quiet for awhile on here (well I wasn't home for awhile really), but very pleased this morning to report that I'm down another 2 pounds from 4 weeks ago.  I know it's not that much, but bearing in mind I'm really not doing anything drastic here.  We eat healthfully for the most part anyway - it's just stuff like portion size, reducing snacks, sweets, alcohol, and trying to get a bit more exercise in.  And I'm happy with a 2 pound loss considering that we went on holiday for two weeks, albeit a holiday with not nearly as much access to alcohol as we would normally consume on holiday (which was a good thing!).  ;)  Morocco is all about the mint tea & it tends to be the more expensive restaurants that offer alcohol (being a Muslim country), plus the heat & other things kinda suppressed my appetite, and most of the food is actually pretty healthy there - a sensible ratio of meat to lots of veg.  Oh and no bacon/ham/etc!

So yay!  2 more pounds down, having lost 10 pounds since I started keeping track (sometime in the late summer), and I have 13 pounds to lose to get back to my first goal - which was the weight I maintained (after losing a lot) for quite awhile here in England.  Still haven't got myself quite talked into the gym again though, and I've had a few too many chocolate treats this week.  :-[

Oh & I'm sure my weight will go up when TOM rolls around here in a bit, but as long as the monthly progress/average is downward, I'm happy!  :)

Things have slowed down for me...I've lost 7 lbs in the past month and it's a bit of progress in the right direction.

Just still watching portion sizes and keeping my calorie intake to the limit I was given. I've eased up on the exercise part because I was finding that I was having problems keeping my food under control. So I've focused on watching what I eat and I'll add the exercise back in later. But diet alone has worked and so has reducing the stress that I've been under lately (thanks to my mom :) )

Oh yeah - I wasn't sure about what the scales would say, because I think I look just huge in our holiday photos, but I have been having to repeatedly hitch up my fattest fat britches (jeans) lately - so that's a good thing!  Lol!
