I had to teach DH the sex-baseball thing.

I had to have a friend pass me a note in seventh grade explaining that!

Interesting thread!

Hope everything works out for the OP, sounds like you know what you're doing.

As for size and body shape, a few days after Alex and I got together he suggested I check out a song by The Beautiful South,

She's a perfect 10, but she wears a 12
Baby keep a little 2 for me
She could be sweet 16, bustin' out at the seams
It's still love in the first degree

it absolutely floored me - that a gal my size (US 24 at the time and very curvy) could be considered sexy! And this was before we met in person, he'd only seen photos at that point!

More motivation or more like procrastination?  ;)

This was a really interesting thread to read.
I think I'm in a similar situation as the OP and several of the other people on here. My boyfriend and I met online but didn't meet until 6 months later in London. Then 3 weeks after that he came to visit me in the States. I went back to Portsmouth in June, stayed for 2 weeks, met his family, went to a family wedding and then went back again in July for 3 months. Then he came here for Christmas and the New Year and met my entire family. LDR is hard, but I think it's getting easier, especially when we already know the next time we will see each other. The next step is getting me a visa so that we don't have to be apart for months at a time. This has definitely been a challenging year and a half, but definitely the best one that I've had in a long time. I feel truly blessed. Thanks to the OP for bringing this up. And it's really exciting to see some of the other posters, like Zoyabean, who have ended up with their happily ever after.

And not to be nosy, but how was planning a wedding to a Brit? I mean with his family being in a different country. Did you have two different ceremonies/receptions? I'm really curious about this, perhaps, I'll post something about it.
