What is your favorite memory about this forum?  Mine is staying up until 3 a.m. watching the US presidential election last year and chatting with some very fun people in the chat room.  ;D

My favourite UKY memories all involve meeting people in real life that I got to know a bit first via the forum -- too many great times to ennumerate them all here, but the people know who they are.  :-*

Some are:

* Getting bitten on the thigh by one of Yorkshire/Virginia's twin boys.
* Drinking vodka shooters at Revolution with Q-G.
* Coffee with people like Andee, mapleleafgirl72, etc.
* Yorkshire Yanks book club.
* BBQs & long sessions of wine with persephone & hubby.
* Giving Melissa my guided tour of historic Leeds city centre.

Really there are too many to mention!  :)

Mine would probably being hounded by Stacey by PM until I agreed to go out for coffee with her!

And there have been a couple of REALLY fun drinks nights in London with the UKY London crowd.

LOL!  I nearly spit my coffee out at that!  I really did hound her.  She lived in my town, I was new and wanted to make friends.  I succeeded ;D  BFF!!!  No regrets!

I have also had a bunch of fun times meeting people at UKY gatherings.  I remember meeting Courtney and Geeta at the same get-together, before I really knew them on-line and telling them to post more.  And meeting E at a small dinner gathering and hitting it off.  Inviting her to stay at my house to watch the Oscars.  Which became a really fun tradition until she moved back :D
Abby Normal and her family coming to meet me in another state when I was on holiday there with my family.

Wow, I have so many more!  too many to mention!

My first meeting with Mindy was a memorable one.... :P  Long. lengthy chats late into the night..

Me and Geeta and some hyper, non-sleeping cats spring to mind!  ;D

There was a picnic in Hyde Park where someone's kid got their umbrella stuck in a tree. Some great curry nights where I met some really cool people (most of whom don't post here any more, sadly). There was another good picnic for 4th July one year in Finsbury Park where we lit a load of disposable barbies and got told off by the park ranger.

Online there have been many fun moments too but of course I can't remember anything specific right now.

I've got two:

1) having Meg and Persephone attend our first wedding/elopement last May!  Followed by some very dubious drinks at the pub ;)

2) Having a July 4th/housewarming party last year with both local friends and several UKYers- Dar, Persephone, Meg and Aless!  The highlight had to be the yummy Costco cake. :)

That was a fun night!

I liked the Boston meet-up we had a few years ago, and going to NH for lobster with Dar and some of her friends.

There are also many people who I've never met in person who have really been there for me when I've needed it.  :-*

That was hilarious!  Steph and I got to bond over our love of Bollywood.

Another great one was my Edinburgh leaving do...great fun with my Scottish UKY girls plus special guests Stacey and my friend Peggy.
