Nile, because I'd love to see the mummies in the Egyptian museums, plus it's close to Israel, so I could visit there as well (my dad would *kill* me if I went all the way to Egypt and didn't get as far as Israel!).

Northern Italy or Southern Italy?

Probably electric because wind-up ones tend to tick, and that would keep me awake.

Scented candles or incense?

Candles for sure! We have them through out our house. The smoke always seems to bother me more then the scent of the incense is worth.

Home cooked meal or go out?

Normally I'd say home-cooked, but this time I'm going to say go out since it's been ages.

Country cozy or sleek and modern (home and decor)?

They're sort of the same-ish to me, but I'll say waffles 'cause it makes me think of hot waffles and ice cream on the Atlantic City boardwalk back in the day!

Mr. Whippy type soft-serve ice cream or "proper" ice cream?

Proper ice cream. I like to stir it till it becomes 'whippy'. I'm just a big kid when it comes to ice cream.

shopping: on-line or in-shop?

I agree the're the same but I prefer pancakes since I can butter the whole thing. Waffles leave me with a few pools of butter. Unless I use so much butter that my arteries start complaining.
