I'd much rather take a train in the UK and/or mainland Europe.   In the US though, I'd rather fly.

Big family event. Hubby's family doesn't really do anything for Easter, so I call home and they pass the phone around so I can talk to the aunts, uncles and cousins.

I prefer summer.  Winter just doesn't seem like the right time to take a vacation to me.
