I just went here on Sunday actually.  It was really really good.  In now ranks up as my favorite mexican food in London.

It is? Why did I think it was in East London? I know it's been mentioned on the board before.

Oh yummy!  :D

Prepared to have a bit lower expectations.  As you have probably read on the board, Mexican food is seriously lacking or weird in the UK.  This place is good but probably won't pass muster from a Mexican.

Oh MAN. Well, I don't expect anything TOO authentic, but at least something passable on the palate! Very tempted myself to just have family ship over masa and start cooking out of my kitchen and inviting all you Mexican food lovers over.

TBH, I'm pretty disappointed that UK doesn't know what authentic Mexican is like. I've had friends tell me they've been to Cancun and ordered food only to be drowned in cheddar cheese and creme. No No NO. I think beyond us Americans being able to have our beloved Mex food, we've GOT to show these Brits how it's done right. Mexican beats curry in my book, every single time.

i must check this out the next time i'm in london.  DF and i unknowingly ate at a chain "mexican" place in cambridge over the weekend and it was AWFUL.  he's never even had proper mexican, only what passes as burritos in boston, and he was even disgusted by it.

He's from Mexico City and I'm from Oklahoma so between the 2 of us we know our Mexican.  ;)

We should definitely meet up and make lots of good Mexican comfort food! I'll be bringing a tortilla press, comal and flan baking pan with me to London. Between our skills and mexgrocer.com and the Cool Chile Company we should be good to go. It will nice to meet a kindred spirit in that respect!  :D

Although by no means authentic (think Chipotle) the burritos at NineteenTen really are pretty good, much better than the Bar Buritto we went to in Liverpool.
My boyfriend is from Texas and even mexican food in Texas doesn't always please him (:D) and he really enjoyed NineteenTen and thought it was better than Chipotle.

We like Wahaca too, although it isn't really mexican, it is really nice.

There's a really terrible mexican place on my road, I pass it everyday and get mad at it!

Daddy Donkey looks pretty good as well :)

I'm cursed with a hatred of the inauthentic--couldn't stand Tex-Mex when I lived in Texas because I knew the authentic was so much better.  I gave up and just cook my own now.

Okay, now I'm seriously craving some flautas and sopas.

just checked out that link.  It does look worth giving a try.  I'm up for anywhere with horchata, gorditas, and sopes.  (wipes drool off her face)

I get so jealous of people having Mexican food get-togethers.  I wanna come!  There are times I wish I was in London!  I think I'll at least have to check this taquería out when I go to London to register DD's birth.
