I have a pet turtle. I was sitting next to his tank when I created my account.

It should be fairly obvious, but...

Mine is from the brilliantly demented Young Frankenstein.

Mine is a weird nickname that I got that is a play on my dj name. I don't dj too much anymore, but so many people I know call me "danger". It's kind of silly when I think about it, but yes.....call me Danger and I will respond. (Everyone pronounces it DANJAHHHHHH! though.) Hah. Nutty.

Q-G:  short for quarter-gill, which is the old Scottish measurement of spirits in pubs.  And because of that, it's the name of at least 2 dodgy pubs in Glasgow!

Mine's quite boring - it's just my first intial, part of my surname and my favourite number. I find it hard to think of good internet usernames - so this one was the first thing that came to mind at the time :P.

We have a UK king sized bed.  It's sandwiched between two walls, but the wall on my husband's side ends a few feet from the bottom of the bed.  So he can easily get in and out of bed no problem.  I, however, have to crawl in and out of bed from the bottom (not to mention, the foot of the bed on my side is where we store the electric fireplace).  I've been all tangled up in duvets and throw blankets getting in and out of bed.  One time, I nearly fell over, and my husband said "Look at you all legs akimbo".  And he started calling me that for a while, partially because of my awkward problems with the bed, and partially because for a fatty, I have nice legs.

Arms akimbo isn't really spread or flailing; it's having your hands resting on your hips and your arms to the side, bent at the elbow.  I don't think doing the equivalent with your legs is possible.

I'm a very big fan of  Star Wars and had a childhood crush on Luke Skywalker.  Red5 was his call name in Episode 4 when the rebels attacked the death star.
Yep, I have no life.   :P

When it comes to thinking up usernames, I hit brick walls and have a hard time coming up with anything. I originally found this site when Googling for information on how to bring my cat from the US to the UK. Being that I'm already a British national, immigration issues were not part of my picture but bringing the cat over sure was.

Well, when Google came up with the Pet section of the forums here, I started reading and posting there, and I know this is silly but for a long time I thought that was all there was to this site!! I was just very busy with the whole move at the time and the PETS process was all I had in my head, so I guess I didn't take time to peruse the rest of the boards and see that in fact it's largely devoted to immigration issues and not just how to bring a pet across too.

So I originally chose the name "Midnight's Mom" because my cat's name is Midnight and I was here to gather information for his move in addition to help from a pet transport specialist who would talk to me on the phone and always refer to me as his mom or to him as my "furry kid" (yes nauseating I know, but I can't have kids so my pet is my child.  :)

After successfully getting through the process, I stayed here just for the conversations and to also give some help when I can on the things I've learned about in my own move, so I changed it to something less about my cat while preserving a recognition factor to others on the boards, so I just picked a random word that could be tacked onto the Midnight part, "Midnight blue" as it's a nice color and (again) I find it hard to get creative with screennames.

I'm from Edinburgh and recently moved to Glasgow - and given that there's a lot fake rivalry between the two cities, someone called me a Teuchtar which I thought was funny because it means something completely different to what she thought it meant!

PK are my initials and pkmac is a nickname my BFF used to call me in 8th grade. Not completely sure where it came from it is either something to do with macaroon or mac & cheese.  :P

First name and last initial, I usually go by "Waddy" on other forums which is the second part of a childhood nickname "Chaddy Waddy".
