USA v Brazil - FIFA Confederation Cup Final
« on: June 28, 2009, 10:50:12 AM »
Tonight at 7pm on BBC3, coverage of the FIFA Confederation Cup final between the USA and Brazil.  Live from South Africa.

Quote from: NBC Sports.com
The Americans have never won a FIFA tournament — this is the first time they've even made it to a final — and a victory over the five-time World Cup champions would signal they are closer than ever to the likes of Spain, England, Argentina, Italy and Germany.

The odds are against a USA victory, but I'm still going to watch.  :)

We're watching! I've annoyed DH with the national anthem and my chanting of 'USA! USA!', but come on...they're actually winning at half-time!

OMG! This is crazy!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

LOL - I do this too, chant 'USA! USA!' to try and annoy my husband as he keeps saying that's all we ever say in matches and I tell him we don't need any other chants.  ;D

I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Bummer.  Brazil played much better in the 2nd half.  Must've been a helluva halftime speech.  :)
