Can you not get this in Florida?

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I would so miss clotted cream.  I can make a really good scone myself, but mmmm, I love big dollops of artery-hardening clotted cream!

Some grocery stores in the US sell the long shelf life stuff.   ;)  Not the same as the nice crunchy-topped fresh, but still better than nowt.

I don't know. I've never seen it in my grocery store, but I wonder if they would stock it if I asked? I got seriously spoiled by Longley Farms.
If we called them Sad Meals, no one would buy them.

Caryn and other PG lovers...Amazon is doing a pretty decent subscription offer on PG tips... you can get 480 bags every 4, 5, or 6 months.  Roughly.. for $26.35 even with the regular price of $31.00 it is better than shipping costs and much better than the $9 for 80 bags at Kroger.

Thanks! It's time for me to get much more au fait with online food shopping!

Caryn and other PG lovers...

Yeah, but you still didn't tell us what you need that you can't get!  :)

Parkin.

Cadbury Flake, and by extension, Dairy 99.

Ploughman's Lunch, with a huge stanky wedge of Stilton.

Walker's Ready Salted Crisps. Yes, I know they're technically the same as Lay's Original...but they're different!

Nice big thick chips with malt vinegar and salt. Our fries are too skinny!

And a great big glass of Montepulciano to wash it all down. (I could probably get that anywhere, but I'm not drinkin it without him.  :\\\'( )

British beef and ale pie, slopping over with onion gravy. (Even if I could find it here, it couldn't possibly taste as good as it did at The Red Lion in Avebury.)

Except for the pie, I love all those things you mentioned! And I also really really like the Red Lion in Avebury! I've had some gorgeous meals there!

Tomato mascarpone pasta sauce. The closest thing I've found to it is vodka sauce (because it is a tomato-based cream sauce) in the US.

Cadbury Flake

I know it's only a teeny bit of your list, but Cost Plus (or whatever they're called these days) almost always has Cadbury Flake (Dairy 99 is iffy).  It's stupid expensive, of course, but when you gotta have it, it's there.  They've saved me when I needed a Jelly Baby fix more than once. ;D

We use World Market when the urge becomes too great for DH to resist or when he's feeling homesick. It's ok for candy/biscuits and Patak's but we are still trying to find decent cheeses and 'proper' sausages. The price nearly makes me weep though.

Kroger carries what they call double gloucester, but it is an abomination. We have settled on Taylor sherry, but it is definitely not what we'd prefer (but better than no sherry at all!) and I can't find the cider I used to drink.

Ploughman sandwiches in little triangle boxes at Boots (and the £3.49 special meal deal!)
Magners Cider
clotted cream
scones
Wheatabix minis with chocolate chips
Various quorn products, esp the apple sausages
real chips from a chippie
real indian food/curries (homemade doesn't taste as good to me. Probably bc I don't have all the right spices or know how to cook it)
Bombay mix
cheese (though Trader Joes does have several imported English cheeses and they even use veggie rennet!)
Yumchaa tea from the nice tea shop in Soho
Probably more stuff that I can't think of at the moment....

You can get Patak's at most Indian stores, and it should be much cheaper than World Market.  :)
