Customs/duty charges - not sure where to post this!
« on: July 16, 2009, 08:20:55 PM »
Hey everyone,
I'll be going back to the US for a visit next week, and want to buy some things for my business that are lots cheaper out there. The value of the items is around £500. Does anyone know how much I'll have to pay when I claim these things when I'm back in the UK? Where can I find this info? Thanks!

You should be able to find it here: http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/customs/arriving/arrivingnoneu.htm

Remember that if your business here is VAT-registered you won't have to pay the VAT, only the import duty.
