Oh, I forgot about your trip! Have an amazing time! ;D

Thanks, I hope I will! My plan is to do a lot of sitting around on the couch, and stuff myself with lots of Mexican food. :)

UP: Our piano was delivered today.  The moving people were wonderful-if anyone needs a mover in the Hants area PM me and I'll give you the details.
IA: The piano came from my inlaws house and it has a bit of 'old people smell' to it.  I'm going to give it good wipe down and hope that sorts it out.

UP: Have dropped off my pup with the lovely Legs Akimbo (and Mr LA) to dogsit him while I'm in the states. This means I don't have to go over tomorrow, and LA and I can both sleep in. YAY!

IA: I miss my doggie. :( Also, I still have to pack, and am now pretty much out of excuses not to.

Have a lovely time! See you when you get back (and Ace too) x

UP: I have a really lovely dentist who goes out of her way make you feel at ease.

UP: Made some really awesome curry tonight.  My belly is quite pleased.  :)

IA:  The whole house STINKS from it, and probably will do through out tomorrow. :-\\\\

IA: Major chaos at the new place.  Ceiling leaking, new housemate moved in today and one of the guys was having a friend stay the night tonight.  I'm on deadline and need absolute quiet to finish this essay.   :-\\\\  Normally, it wouldn't be an issue but I have to have peace when I'm on deadline.

UP: I called the ex and he said he would go to his brothers so that I could stay at my old place (down the street) for the evening.

Sometimes that's just the kick in the but ya need to get back to where you were 'chops'-wise.  I'm sorta going through that right now.  Instead of getting jealous, I just "get even"!  All good motivation and healthy competition to be the best I can be!

That's exactly it Andee  :)  Getting 'even'!! Great chance to make myself better!!  :)

Today
UP: It's gorgeous outside.  Stunning spring-esq weather [smiley=daisy.gif]
IA: I'm stuck inside waiting/hanging out for the carpet/flooring guys. J's out rambling. Boo!!! And tomorrow will be cold and gross and snowy again  >:(

IA:  A gorgeous day that I had to spend in the garden gardening which I hate.

UP:  The letting agent really can't complain as we've cut back the offending hedge, cleaned the patio, and on top of it all, we found some snow drops in our back garden that are just lovely!  And once we got into it, it only took an hour and a half!

UP:  No hangover despite splitting both a bottle of champagne & a bottle of red wine yesterday with DH, just a little tired as we were both wide awake in the night for an hour or two - mostly due to...

IA:  Getting a blank text from MIL & FIL at 1:55 am, so I guess that means they are home from their latest adventure (in Cuba this time).  MIL clearly hasn't mastered the finer points of texting - i.e., that it is normally customary to include a brief message (with words) of some sort.  But seriously, 1:55 am!  Why do we need to know that you're home at that hour?  ::)

Am thinking that a nap may be in my (afternoon) future...  [smiley=sleeping2.gif]

UP: I think my little brother is lessening on the undying hatred of me. (Every day so far has been "is she going home yet? has she left? when does she leave?") My mom explained how I have another family to visit, too, and once he got over the incredulity that I wouldn't be completely satisfied with this family (don't think the "you don't get a choice" thing has sunk in yet, though I may be helping with that!), he decided I "wasn't too bad". Perhaps that will help lessen the perception that I'm a threat to his family unit.

IA: Part of the change in behaviour included screaming, hitting, peeing, and biting (thankfully none of it at me). Major, major meltdown with my mom before she laid down the law and he decided to behave better.

Definitely leaning more and more towards being the cool aunt/big sister, and not having kids of my own. These boys are cool, but I am VERY glad I'm only here for two weeks.

UP:  DH's office is putting together a relocation package because they desparately need someone in San Diego to do his job.  But, they are putting no pressure on us to take it, it's just something that is there if we want/need to be closer to family.

IA:  Now we have to make the decision.  I just started a job I really like and have lots of good things going for me here right now, but I WANT TO BE NEAR MY DADDY!!!

Thanks both.  We'll see.  We've played this game with dh's office before but it sounds like they could be desparate enough to consider sending him out for a few years.
