UP: My friend told me that we could continue to purchase our Irish healthcare for up to 6 months after we leave the country.

IA: Reading the policy it states that you have to be resident in the country for 6 months in your policy year to be eligible for this. My policy year starts in May and we're leaving in June, so I'm not eligible.  :-\\\\

UP: DH's policy year started in December, so he'll slip right in under the 6 month mark and we can keep him on his policy. At least one of us will have healthcare when we move and we'll only have to pay out the nose to a US company for one of us (that's if one of us doesn't have a job).

UP: The guy who was going to stay for "around 2 weeks" has found a flat today that's available...today. So he's leaving.

IA: He originally told me this (my flatmate was in her room), and offered to pay for last night. Then my flatmate heard us talking and took over the conversation and refused payment. (Totally fine, but I'm guessing for 2 weeks she wouldn't have, and of course, she made no mention of payment to me.)

Also, why can't I find a place that easily? Oh yes, because I actually like/have animals. Sigh.

UP: I came home from work tonight and DH made us a lovely meal.  :)

IA: As I was walking to the sink to do the washing up I dropped a dish and got peppercorn sauce ALLLLLLLL over the carpet!  >:(

IA: Just got notified by my phone about a voicemail - turns out it was from Saturday about viewing a flat yesterday. :( This, of course, is the flat I'm really interested in that's 99% perfect, so I hope that it'll still work out.

IA: Realized that my appointment for a sleep study to determine whether I have a problem was scheduled for February 4, not April 2 (stupid reverse date format).

UP: Called to confirm when my new appointment is set, and it's for tonight. So at least I know now, rather than after it's too late.

Hope the flat works out!

Thanks, me too!

IA to my UP above: Can only bring a magazine, book, and/or personal radio in to the sleep study tonight. No internet/computer games for me, apparently. :(

IA: It's no. 50! Gasp!  :o How did that happen?

IA: The career fair thing I dragged myself out to today was a bit of a bust.  Half wish that I had just stayed home.

UP: When I got home, I received a call telling me I had an interview for a temporary job in my field at a really awesome place! I think going to the dumb career fair somehow gave me some cosmic job points or something!  ;D

UP: I got offered my dream job today and I accepted!!!

IA: I have to give notice tomorrow at my current job and I HATE doing it. Even though I have HATED every second I have worked there it will still be hard and I dread the bad reaction that I know I will receive.

UP:  Slowly, slowly getting our night-by-night accommodations sorted out for our June walking holiday.

IA:  I think the logistics of all this (where, when, how much, evening meals, lunches, blah blah blah blah) is going to require a spreadsheet.  :-X  (and I still need to invest in some new walking boots & start breaking them in)

UP: My primary school choir (as well as the orchestra which I do not direct) did a fundraiser for the Marie Curie foundation yesterday. They sang in a tube station - and they were fabulous. We gathered quite a crowd, and the woman from the charity said that the money was just pouring in while the kids were performing!

IA: I was already sore on my way into work yesterday, so the fatigue after standing for hours with no rest was really intense. It is still pretty bad, even though I went to bed really early.

UP: DH knew how I was feeling from e-mailing at work, so when he got home he ran me a really nice bubble bath and lit candles for me. :) While I relaxed in the bath, he went off and made dinner.  [smiley=heart.gif]

Be interested to know what you get as I need to replace my old ones (which cramp my foot)  >:(
