IA: Depending on how this week goes, I may be starting job-hunting next week.

UP: From brief searches online, at least there's plenty to choose from!

UP: Not that unexpected, but I got my ILR yesterday!  ;D

IA: They took AAAAAAAAAGES at the PEO and we didn't get out until 5, which mean DF had no chance of catching the train he intended to take back up to his archaeology dig in Elgin.  >:(

UP: That meant we got to have a celebratory curry together before he caught the later train, which also turned out to be direct (we didn't even know there WAS a direct train from where we are to Elgin!).

IA: We ended up having to rush him to the station to catch that train, which means I got stuck with all the tidying up from our weekend camping trip. D'oh!
Arrived as student 9/2003; Renewed student visa 9/2006; Applied for HSMP approval 1/2008; HSMP approved 3/2008; Tier 1 General FLR received 4/2008; FLR(M) Unmarried partner approved (in-person) 27/8/2009; ILR granted at in-person PEO appointment 1/8/2011; Applied for citizenship at Edinburgh NCS 31/10/2011; Citizenship approval received 4/2/2012
FINALLY A CITIZEN! 29/2/2012

UP: Getting really excited for upcoming visit to the old homestead (i.e. Leeds)

IA: Just realized I'll miss the beginning of the new Doctor Who series on BBC America. >:( [DH has dropped the telly -- as a waste of time and money. He listens to the wireless. And yes, he calls it "wireless"!]

Laptop? You might be able to catch them on iPlayer

UP: Just booked tickets to see the horses at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, and plane ticket to get there!

IA: Now I have to figure out what's happening with my pets while we're gone. Googling kennel/pet-sitter prices makes my eyes bleed at the prices.

UP: Received details for my interview for an internship later in the month.  Kind of excited!

IA: Also totally frightened!  It seems quite long, and it's the most officious sounding interview I've ever been invited to.  It's a "panel" as well.  I have images of a firing-squad dancing in my brain.  :P

IA: One of my friends also has an interview for it.  I don't like the thought of having to compete against someone I know!  And I find myself hoping she gets it, because she's really great and deserves it.  But then, I really need this job!  :-\\\\

UP: Her interview is the one before mine, so we're going to get lunch afterward and probably cry together from nerves.  :P  ;D

UP: My interview went really well.

IA: The commute sucked. I need to look in getting the train, but I haven't heard good things about that either.  :-\\\\

IA: More heavy rain  >:( >:(

UP: Cycling to work cleaned my waterproofs of all the mud that has gathered in the last week between music festivals and the allotment!
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

UP. I went to the Dr this morning an he thinks its not my gall Bladder giving me issues but its something else. his main reasons for saying that it's not my Gall Bladder is that I have had 3 ultrasounds they have yet to see 1 stone on any of my ultrasounds.

IA. Dr thinks its something called Dyspepsia an I have to take in a stool sample to find out if it's that or not. this is TMI I know sorry but the problem with that is I don't go very often probably once or twice a week an I have already gone I know TMI sorry. an I cant take the pills I'm supposed to take to cure it till I have given my stool sample. ::)  :P

UP If the Dr is right an its what he thinks it is I will have to take the pills for a month hopefully I shouldn't have any more problems after that here's too hoping!!  ;)  :)

IA. If it isn't what the DR thinks it is I have to have a camera go down into my tummy an check things out not looking forward to that at all. ::)  :P

UP: Found two possibly interesting (and lucrative ;)) jobs to apply for, so I did.

IA: Not sure that either will be interesting, or that I want to job hunt. :(

IA. I'm still only having my somewhat normal breakfast a bowl of bran flakes with cinnamon sprinkled on top of it I stopped having my orange an replaced it with a banana. because I thought possibly the acid from the orange was hurting my tummy so hence the banana instead. an I'm only either having chicken broth or chicken noodle soup for lunch & dinner. I swear if I eat one chicken based product I think I might turn into a chicken lol. ::)  :P sadly they are they only things that don't upset my tummy an give me horrendous pains in my side after eating something. hopefully the pills the Dr has me on now will cure me of what's making me sick.

UP. I wasn't planning on doing this way by all means ::)  :P  but the Wii Fit says I'm smaller than I was when I weighed myself last Nov 17th. what makes that a good thing is I haven't been that small on the Wii Fit no matter how much I have done at the gym over the few past months. the Wii Fit says I'm says I'm out of the obese catergory & just overweight now I know I'm only taking it with a grain of salt. ;) [smiley=blank.gif]  I got to have a bright spot on this situation somehow I don't recommend this way at all!! ::)  :P

UP: I had the best visit to the US since I moved here. :) My parents were both able to take a lot of their vacation time, so we spent the whole time with them. It was so much fun. Not one argument with my mother either! We've had a rough time visiting at Christmas - that is a stressful time at my mom's job. So I'm really glad we were able to get this great deal on tickets (Thanks CB!) and switch our visits to summer. We're already planning to go to the beach together next year!

IA: The trip was pretty rough on me. We flew from London to Iceland to NYC, and then got a bus to Pittsburgh. The flights were really cramped, but I expected that. On the way back though, we took the bus at 11pm on Saturday and arrived in NYC Sunday morning to spend the day with a friend of mine. But it rained ALL day! And we were stuck in it most of the time. Then the flight was overnight as well, so it was 2 nights of not so restful sleep.

UPs: It was all worth it. Got to see my friend/former roomie for the first time in 2 years, which was so nice, even in the rain... And I'm still on school holidays for another couple weeks, so I get plenty of recovery time. :) I'm really happy to be home again and to have my bunnies back! (They've been boarding at the rescue.)
Finally living with my Husband in London after 6 1/2 years together but apart... and loving my life!

Glad your trip was so good, PL! At least the IA part is temporary and worthwhile. :)

I have officially started job hunting and applied for 3 positions. I think that counts as both an UP and and IA. [smiley=confused.gif]
