The sausages and bacon made by Quorn aren't great, but I'm a big fan of their chicken style pieces, beef style pieces and chicken style dipper things. Also love the broccoli and cheese escalopes.

I think Quorn is nasty and I actually like veggie substitutes. Have you tried the Weight Watcher's sausages? I quite liked them. Also M&S makes a reduced fat sausage that is pretty nice. And it's still meat!  :P

I might have to give those a go.  Looked them up on the database & each of them (either the M&S or the WW one) are only 1/2 of a Syn, so that's not too bad if I had 2 or 3 of them.  :)

Good luck on finding a nice substitute!

UP: My thigh muscles feel almost pain-free again!  :D

IA: I woke in the wee hours this morning - oh hello there, biceps...you thought you'd get in on the delayed onset muscle soreness party too?!  Thank goodness for ibuprofen!  :P  Plus I know that evil trainer is going to make me rip those thighs again tomorrow morning...  [smiley=anxious.gif]

IA: Hanging laundry to dry outside in the strong wind and getting whipped in the face by pajama pants in the process.

UP: It was still kind of fun, like flying kites, except it's clothes.

Yes, that's happened to me.  :D  It's preferable to having the wind catch the rotary dryer thing when it's partially filled and I'm reaching down to pick up another garment from the laundry basket.  The whole thing spins around wildly and the corner catches me in the face just as I lift my head.

UP: I somehow managed to get the motivation to go through all our old post and get it organised.  Have been meaning to do this for a while, since we need to have it all accessible for visa purposes in a year's time.

IA: There's so much of it, and a lot of it is rubbish, and I hate it, and I don't want to do it anymore!  :P  Plus, I found my hoard of job rejection letters.  :(  I don't know why I keep them, maybe so I can look back on them later (when I have a job) and give them the finger.  ;D

UP: My fattest fat jeans are so big now that I can shimmy them off without even undoing the fly - my hips are holding them up, but only just!  I am going gangsta - yo.

IA: Yes, I am still wearing them around the house.  :P

IA:  I've got to take my second iron dose of the day which means I can't have any dairy now for the rest of the night (blocks the absorption).  :-\\\\

UP:  I guess that's more than a few calories and fat grams I won't take in tonight.  :-\\\\

Funny day/afternoon here - I so much wanted to take a nap (on the sofa) because my body huuurrrts (stupid gym! :P) & I haven't been sleeping that well & I'm just exhausted...  Except DH was all waaaaah! (not really - hee hee) - he wanted to play Resident Evil 4 on the Wii, on the sofa - he's been sick with cold & bored.  He loves that freaking game & shooting the Spanish zombies and monsters so much - ha ha ha!!  :)

So I pottered around until he was tired of playing.  Then - he fell asleep against me on the sofa!  ::)

Then when he woke up, he sat up to read & I finally got my nap in, sleeping against him.  ;D

(The bed was out of the equation because I'm laundering the bed linens today. Spare bed is unmade & covered with clutter, so we just won't go there...)

UP: Got contacted by a recruiter about a position in Belgium! Living (further) abroad! Culture! Excitement!

IA: It doesn't pay tons better than the jobs here in London, and I think the hassles would far outweigh the excitement. It sounds interesting, in theory, but I think it's probably a better idea just to plan a holiday to Belgium instead.

UP: R was supposed to go and see his mum tonight but the plans have changed and he's on his way home :)

IA: There goes my plan for being lazy and having hummus for dinner!  ;D

IA: Thought I'd be adventurous and mix a packet of Emergen-C with some UK lemonade instead of the usual water. I misjudged how fast fizzing powder and fizzy drink would fizz up and it overflowed almost immediately all on the table and floor. Clever, I know.  :-[

UP: It was like those volcanoes you did as a science project as a kid; it tastes pretty good, almost like orange Fanta, but vitamin-y.
