My current flat has a dishwasher and we've never used it.

I love Fulham Broadway! It's pretty easy to get around, although annoyingly it's on a district line branch, but nice restaurants and some shops, when I lived in Hammersmith/Fulham I often popped down to the broadway.

Ha, we're looking at Southwark for our move, but we're probably going to end up in Clerkenwell/Kings X or in Waterloo.

Yeah, I took the District to get back home the other night and got pretty annoyed sitting at Earl's Court. I'll be able to get a bus directly from the flat to work, though, so will probably just do that as it'll be tons cheaper.

I used to live in Southwark and looked at two places there last night! One place was about 10 minutes from Waterloo, and I love the Southbank. I almost went with it just for the fact I could walk to work. If only the room hadn't been so small...

We're not going until August though :)

Aw, it would be great to be neighbours!

Me too! I joked to BF that with all the money we'd save on rent, he can be the full-time dishwasher, since he's not too bothered either way. Not that I mind doing dishes, but when it's a giant pile of them it's a slog to get through them.

My UP was deciding to change dentists and go to the dental clinic at work. They seem very nice and thorough.

IA: the dentist decided I have two bits of decay in back teeth  :( Why hadn't my (expensive) former dentists spotted those? Every time you start with a new dentist they always find more work that needs doing!

Ugh, I hate that. Hopefully it's nothing that will be too invasive!

Another IA/UP today.

UP: Finally got my health insurance sorted out after playing phone tag with the guy for 3 days.

IA: Bye-bye $293/month.  :( I miss the NHS.

UP: BF likes the flat, so we're going with it. Yay!

IA: They want us to start paying rent in a week and a half, which is a week earlier than we'd planned, and technically about 5 weeks earlier than we need to.

UP: Even in the worst case scenario if we pay for 2 flats in April, we'll break even after 3 months of living in the new flat since it's that much cheaper. Woo.

IA: BF's coworkers were joking that he's sure to get mugged walking to/from work. Hoping it's not really bad - the main street looks quite busy but the flat is on a quiet side street.

Which part of Southwark is it? And which busy road is it off of? I'm quite familiar with Southwark and used to live in a part of it that most people would consider as dodgy, so if you let me know, perhaps I can put your mind at ease.  :)

Not really unexpected, but I am really, really enjoying all the walks we have been taking this week, and look forward to the ones we are planning to take.

IA: My leg muscles hurt a bit. I know it will all work out in time, but we seem to do a lot of uphill walking.

UP: My dog's lost almost 2kg since our last vet visit, which means today's teeth cleaning (and associated anaesthesia) won't be quite so crazy expensive.

IA: He's still up 3kg from his normal weight. Who knew 2 weeks with friends whose dogs have no discipline/diet would add so much weight? Jeez.

Hope that wasn't us! :) We didn't feed him any treats, and we took him out for a walk everyday :)

No, he apparently got fat over Thanksgiving. You guys probably helped with the weight he's lost since then! :)

Oh that's good, I wouldn't want to do anything that hurt him as I love him up! :)
