Thanks guys! Can't tell you how happy I am! It's the first time I've been offered anything in almost a year and a half! I can't believe I'm going to get to work again!  :D
Well done! All the best.

IA: I was feeling really good about the clothing clear out I did yesterday - two BIG bags full of things I don't wear much, with a couple things I liked or loved but knew would be nearly impossible to get back to Indiana. I felt good about it until an hour after we left the charity shop this morning. Now I am having 'giver's remorse' about a black and white cardigan I LOVED.  :\\\'( I got it from an end of winter clearance at Goodwill, so it only cost me $1, but it was too bulky to pack. This is the downside of bringing over so many clothes on every visit back.

UP: While we were at the charity shop we found a suitcase in perfect condition for $10, which is great since we both need a second one. The JOY UP of it is, it is purple!

Aww, big hugs! The leaving people part never seems to get any easier.

Mine: UP: I'm working to organize and post all the pics and video on my laptop before heading back. We are selling it to a friend. Today I found a video of hubby and two of our friends having a helluva jam session on air guitar, singing their hearts out to Iron Maiden, in a pub one night. I forgot I had it.

IA: At least one, or possibly all three of them would kill me if I posted it anywhere, but it is a GEM!  ;D

IA: DF and I went to the the RSPCA today to look at the cats they had available for adoption. We fell in love with this one cat and as we went in to consult the staff about adopting him, the couple who walked in just ahead of us reserved him. We were gutted because he was a very lovely cat.

UP: We've reserved two other cats that are equally lovely and playful. Wicked excited!

UP: We were invited to a part for today (1pm - whenever it is over in the morning, usually dawn) and had decided against it because of the weather and saving money (boyb). About 1/2 hour ago we decided to go, and I am SO happy, since it will be one of two last chances to see most of my friends I have made here.

IA: Even though it is an indoor/outdoor event, with plenty of covered area outside, it is raining. On top of that, I can't find any of my eyeliner. ACK! Off to have another search. I have probably managed to pack it away even though I knew I'd be needing it.

IA: I knew two suitcases and a carry on with lots of books and other things were going to be a struggle yesterday but I didn't think the carry on would cut off circulation in my arm, or I'd wake up hurting from it today.

UP: The Manchester United Mirror made it intact! We bubble wrapped it good, then I nestled it as safely as I could, but knowing how they treat baggage, I expected it to be broken to bits. A friend gave it to us the Christmas before last and we really wanted to have it with us.

UP 2: My nieces kittens are even cuter than the pictures she posted on FB, and they are people kitties and not anti people kitties.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

UP: My house is officially on the market! The photos look good, the listing (with some tweaking from me) sounds good.

IA: I can't do anything to help it sell, or gauge how things are going, and will have to rely completely on my real estate agent to get this thing sold.

UP: At least my real estate agent seems pretty cool/very responsive (if a bit overenthusiastic at times).

Fingers crossed!

IA - It's really freaking hot outside.

UP - I was able to work from home today, so I've spent the day in the A/C without having to battle trains, people, and heat!
