My parents are planning to be in Vegas the same time I am.  I think the IA part is overwhelming the UP part, actually.   :-X

The IA is my husband, once again, failed to be there to meet me when I got off the airport shuttle. I kind of thought this might happen because I knew he would go for a run this morning and his time management skills are crap, so he never gives himself enough time. He calls me and asks if I'm on the bus and I say yep, I'm almost there (I sent two texts and tried to call him to keep him updated on my whereabouts). Well, I hear the panic in his voice as he says he'll be there in 10 minutes! Well, I knew he wouldn't and I got there about 2 minutes later, so I started walking home. Sure enough, about 10 minutes into my walk here comes DH running towards me in marathon-running mode. It totally cracked me up!

IA: I left work early in order to be home at 5:30 when the plumber said he was coming over to fix our boiler..only to find out that he's driving back from Gloucestershire (!?) and won't arrive until 8 or 9pm.

UP: I'm home earlier than usual, which gives me a bit more time to relax tonight!

Cleaning the heck out of our bedroom. It's disgusting in there. The IA was the cleaning, the UP is the outcome!

Chloe is settling into my parents' house and starting to play with their cat, but we're only here for another week and a half and she'll have to adjust to the new apartment.

The UP is I've supposedly won a Spanish cruise from a scratch-off card thing in a magazine- the IA is that it's subject to dates, and I'm a teacher, so I highly doubt I'd be able to use it in school holidays!! And am skeptical of those things anyway- hardly ever even look at them!!

UP: Got a letter from KLM reminding me I have a whole load of airmiles about to expire. I can really use them for an upcoming trip!  :D

IA: Their website does not show the miles! >:(

I'll pray for you  ;)

UP: My parents went to the Newport Folk Festival last weekend and my Dad, being my Dad, somehow managed to weagle their way backstage and they got to meet Pete Seeger and Judy Collins and a few other folks and I just saw the pictures. Pete looks amazing, considering he's 90!!

The IA, I wasn't there to join them!

I think we're going to sacrifice going to the US for Christmas so we can do some other traveling around Europe. That's kind of an IA since we can't do it all.  :P The UP is that I'm feeling okay with this decision. I've been in the US so much in the past 12 months I'd really like to go somewhere else! I just hope my parents understand.  :-\\\\
