Had to take our poor cat to the vet, he isn't very well.

But... wow... the vet we saw this time provided some serious eye candy for the kitty's mama.  :-*  ;D

Now where have I heard this before, except substitute kitty with puppy, ex-Mrs Ayoubob.

So how's poor kitty?

Still tired of coteries and bans. But hanging about anyway.

IA - Getting a third session on my chest piece tomorrow,we've decided to add a couple more things,so it looks like it could take up to 5 sessions all together to finish it................Why is it an IA? Cause it hurts really bad. I almost broke my toes by clenching them so tight last time!

UP- It looks amazing so far, and once its completed its going to looks even more amazing

He seems to be feeling much better already. He was peeing blood last night and this morning, poor soul. They gave him another antibiotic shot and some heavy duty anti-inflammatories and all looks clear at the moment, plus he has stopped walking around crying. I hope this will do the trick, as we have now spent over £100 this month at the vet.

Poor thing. Glad he's doing better.

Do you have pet insurance? My dd got a policy from Tesco for, I think £25, and we had to tae her poor puppy to the vet for a broken leg. Vet was £1200!!!!!! Tesco paid up. Whew.

Oh that poor kitty!  I'm so sorry for you and him.  Sick pets are so hard because you just can't explain to them that the shots will help and you aren't inflicting any more pain on them.

ETA: I forgot mine.

My dh had to go London yesterday and did not get home until about 9:30.  I was going out with some people, so we didn't get to see each other at all yesterday and I had to come home to an empty house and have supper on my own.  The nice bit is he brought me up some krispie kremes since we don't have a krispie kreme shop in York.  Yum.  To me, dragging krispie kremes across London and on to a train back to York is love.   ;D

I agree. Tesco pet insurance is a lifesaver and only £4 a month for our kitty. We got it after my kitty got terribly sick and we were stuck with about £400 in vet bills.

Glad to hear that kitty is better Jewlz.
UP-Think we found a house that we both like and can make an offer on.
IA-It is at the very top of what we can afford, so goodbye to what little disposable income we have.

The boy has had a loose front tooth for over 2 months. Took him to the dentist Thursday and he said leave it for the incoming tooth to push it out. OK

Tonight I'm doing the dishes (well why not I got them dirty while cooking diner) and the boy comes in and says Dad, I think my tooth is bleeding. So I turn around and he shows me. Yup, it's bleeding alright. So is his nose.

Well tended to the nose, then got a tissue and tried his tooth again. And it came out slicker than a chased greased pig.

How'd it happen? I hit the cushion. God kids really do think we're dumb.

IA: DH got up at 4:30 to go to the airport, only to find his flight was cancelled.

UP: He's still here hanging out with me today!

The snow.  It's annoying because I'm so tired of cold and winter, but it makes it so easy for me to be lazy and indoors all day.   :P

Just had the pancakes (short stack of American pancakes) that I should have had a week ago (for Pancake Day but we had crepes instead), with real maple syrup, bacon & a cold glass of milk.  Such a delicacy is wasted on my native Brit, who doesn't like American pancakes, so they were all for me.  ;D

Now I feel a bit sick.  [smiley=sick.gif]

Ha. You just posted my life.  On the one hand, I now smile at every baby and small child I see. On the other, I also watched "One Born" and am not sure I am ready for pain/stress/hormones. (especially hormones).

UP-One of my friends is a fellow expat, but she isn't from the States.  She was telling me today about her nieces coming from overseas to see her this evening, and of her plans to go visit her family over Easter.  She was so happy, and I was very happy for her.   :)
IA-After the conversation with her I realized how lonely my life is.  We used to pay for my Mom to come visit, but due to her age she isn't able to make the flight anymore.   No one else in my family has a passport.  I was really wanting to go see my Mom this summer, but unless I can find cheaper airfare/accommodation/car rental I won't be able to afford it.
