Part IA, Part UP

UP: I got a bouquet of my favourite flowers (stargazer lilies), a deep and sincere apology, a trip to Ikea for new stuff for the house, and lunch at TGI Friday's, which was actually surprisingly tasty and comforting. 

Yay!    You deserve that...

IA: last day of the bank holiday

UP: still the bank holiday and may bake some more

UP: Today was our family fun day and we had a great day

IA:  I'm tired and could go to sleep, but the kids wouldn't like it 

UP: First night of full dress/tech for my Oz show went well.  (and my dress actually wasn't as awful as I thought it would be)

IA: I am knackered!  I can has Sunday already?

1. Didn't lose any weight this week despite my new exercise regime.
2. But.... I ate WAY out of my calorie range for part of the weekend, so at least I didn't gain any weight, either! 

IA: I have a horrible cold
UP: I'm sure it's because I stood out in the cold and pouring rain for eight hours on Sunday watching the cross-country at Badminton. Totally worth the kleenex and sniffles.

IA: my ankles/heels are still giving me trouble

UP: P/T says it's improved enough to sign off so long as I keep doing the exercises. Oh well.

UP:  I woke up not coughing & thinking maybe I was out of the woods on this.

IA:  Now I am coughing again - sheesh.  I self-diagnosed on NHS Direct yesterday (DH's suggestion) & sounds like I might have a minor chest infection.  If it's not gone by this Friday (2 weeks in), off to the doctor I go.  But hey...

UP:  Another day of just lying around & being lazy, except that...

IA:  My house seriously needs a cleaning & clearing out, which isn't getting done.

In the car today and my five year old daughter who is in the back said the following...

UP:

DD: Mummy, I love you.

ME: I love you too Princess.

(silence follows for a few minutes and I hear her gasp really loud)

IA:

DD: Mummy, is your hair ginger?!

ME: Yes, I was born with it. Although I prefer to call it strawberry blonde. Did you only just notice it today? 

In the car today and my five year old daughter who is in the back said the following...

UP:

DD: Mummy, I love you.

ME: I love you too Princess.

(silence follows for a few minutes and I hear her gasp really loud)

IA:

DD: Mummy, is your hair ginger?!

ME: Yes, I was born with it. Although I prefer to call it strawberry blonde. Did you only just notice it today?

I'm sure she will get over it...with time 

IA: I have to give a HUGE presentation today to the top senior management (all the Vice-Presidents of our company) and I'm ready to poop my pants in nervousness

UP: That I was the one chosen from my project team to actually give this presentation


IA: If I do a bad job, it will get me well known to the top VPs in a bad way!!!

UP:  I do a good job, it will get me well known to the top VPs in a very good way!!!! 

IA: I have to give a HUGE presentation today to the top senior management (all the Vice-Presidents of our company) and I'm ready to poop my pants in nervousness

IA: Trip to the mall with two girlfriends was canceled...

UP: because one of them had her baby last night!!! We're going to the hospital to visit them instead!

IA: got the news some friends are moving back to Japan in the autumn - I'll miss them

UP: a good excuse to go to Japan is to visit them after they settle in
