IA: Have been feeling completely neglected by the boy since he's been back in the UK.

UP: Got to speak to him on Skype today and it turns out his internet hasn't been working very well. So even though he's only had his HTC for a few months, he bought a new phone that would allow him to keep Skype running all the time and researched apps to allow me to keep Skype running on my iPhone 3G while multitasking.  He found something called Fring which has been totally brilliant.   ;D

Hang in there! Autumn'll be here soon!  :)

IA: why do tasks seem to multiply when you can't share them out?  :(

UP: kinda fun being the single girl for a few days, but can't wait until the boy is back!  :D

Fring is an app that allows you to make Skype calls. I haven't had any better luck with it than Skype, though.

There is an app called Backgrounder (which requires a jailbroken phone, I believe), that forces apps (like Skype) to remain online even when you've closed the app, which is what allows you to remain logged into Skype and receive calls.

Fring has thus far worked for me, and I love that it multitasks.  I've only used it twice, but both time no bigs.  Jenn, I'll be up for another 20 minutes or so if you want to download it and try it with me.   :)

And thanks MLG and Jewlz, I'm trying to make the most of it- although my insomnia is driving me up a wall.  I started running 4 miles and walking the dog twice a day, just to see if that will make me sleepy.

Both an IA and a UP - The lecturer I went to speak with about a PhD award has emailed me to ask me about how my application is going.  I'd lost a lot of confidence about getting it done, but since he's remembered me, guess I'm putting it in.

You'd better, unless you want me to come over there & kick you until you do it!

Jewlz is right - the free time won't last forever! Enjoy it!  :)

You totally can do it!  :) Besides, I'm not sure I'd want a kicking from Mrs R!  :P

My IA & UP: going to see some girlfriends  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] but wish I was meeting them somewhere else..... :-\\\\

IA: Walked all the way to a restaurant to pick up a voucher for some friends. The girl didn't know where the vouchers were and told me to come back at 5pm when her manager is there.

UP: I needed the exercise.

UP: Called my father to talk over something which was on my mind about a dilemma I had and he helped me sort it out. :-*

IA: I'm having a ''missing my family in the US big time'' kind of moment right now. :\\\'(

Sorry, Little_Evo.  I hate when that happens.  I'm so glad to have the right person to talk to, but then it reminds me that I don't have that person here.

IA: I can't figure out all the technical aspects of submitting all my docs to Leeds.  And the scanner keeps being a PITA.

UP: The boy is very techno-saavy so he has been skype helping me sort it all out.

IA : I got this coat in Navy http://www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Curve-Lace-Up-Mac/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1018193 from ebay and it came with lots of hair on it, I suspect pet hair, it seems new and clean...but hairy. bleugh!

UP : I can wash it, and it was only £20! And it looks FAB the most fattering coat and looks really expensive.  [smiley=gorgeous.gif]
