For his 30th birthday, I got hubby a nice dinner out and show tickets.

For my early birthday gift he got me a new laptop.

Always gotta one up everyone. Hrmph.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

UP: DH took me and MIL out to pizza last night.

IA:  In my excitement, I forgot it was Tuesday, which means dancing.  Oops.  I didn't even remember until I called my dad and he asked if I was out at dance class.  :-[

I have two.

1. I'm frustrated and can't fall asleep but I'mplaying on my iPhone and can sleep in tomorrow.

2. iTunes wouldn't let me make a ringtone out of the Hawaiian "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" because I didn't but it through iTunes. But I ended up making a perfect ringtone for myself out of the chorus of "Sounds Like Life to Me." Which is a great song for trying to remind myself to not sweat the small things that are life.

Well today is the 1 year anniversary of me having my "mystery illness", which I still have  >:(  >:( >:( with no end in sight of figuring out what it is, with some dodgy bloodwork and is acting up horribly because of stress and really pissing me off. Blah.

I only remember the date because I had to say so many times to doctors when it started.

But the UP part is  1.) My GP fights for me against the stupid consultants in the hospital who tell me "Its all in my head  ::) ::)"  Its nice to find a good GP that I can trust and will fight for me 2.) Acupuncture does a fantastic job at keeping the pain levels down. Much better than the stupid consultants could do.   3.) I'm not letting it get me down at all!!!!!!  Screw you mystery illness.  I will still live my life and enjoy it!

UP: My sister is here visiting

IA: My  sister is PMSing and I can't say ANYTHING to her without it being an ISSUE. If I say "you forgot your keys in the door" it turns in to her going "I'm not a baby! I'm not stupid! You don't have to tell me to get my keys out of the door!"  >:( (she's 18)

IA:  Going to physio today and the therapist telling me she wanted to start acupuncture on me today.  I have a really big fear of needles.

UP:  It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and she told me a lot of people tend to be tired after a treatment, so I might get a good nights sleep tonight!

This thread reminds me of those "Fortunately... Unfortunately..." stories we had to write in elementary school. ;D

Same here!

IA: Returned the two bathing suits and the pair of shorts I bought yesterday as they just weren't right.

UP: Found a very cute pair of shoes for swing dancing and a new pair of shorts that I like more than the old ones and ended up spending $40 less than I had previously.
