IA: still sick.  :-\\\\

UP: had my favourite GP today - she listened as usual and so there's going to be specialist follow up.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Sorry you've been sick.  :( Hope you feel better soon!  :-*

UP: Have an interview tomorrow at a cool place!

IA: It's a temporary job that pays less than I currently earn, so... not great. At least it's a back up plan if things fall through at work.  :-\\\\

IA: My eye is still bugging me, and my paranoia about accidentally hitting/rubbing/dirtying/touching it and ruining it grows by the minute.

UP: At least my left eye, including its brand new contact lens, is barely registering as an annoyance in comparison!

Thanks!
I applied for the job on a whim when I was pissed off at my current job - but ultimately I want to make sure its the right fit for me.  However, I can't see why it won't be a good opportunity to expand upon my skills  :)  Hmmm...decisions, decisions...

Congrats, PB!  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

So, I joined Curves this week. On the first day they weigh and measure you. Not good times. I hadn't weighed myself in awhile, so I had an idea what it was, but it's been a couple of months at least since I've been on the scale. While I knew I had gained weight, I was more than a little surprised with my weight that day. It would be my highest weight ever, which is a bit unusual since when I was previously at my highest weight I was wearing a US 14-16 and I'm wearing a US 12 right now, but whatever. My friend, who joined with me, was also pretty surprised when she saw her weight. She said she weighed herself last month and there was a 20lb difference between the two scales. Yesterday I decided to weigh myself at home and it was a difference of almost a stone (in my favor) from what she told me on Tuesday! Of course DH automatically thinks it's a scam.  ::)  I just figure it's a crappy scale at the gym (just one of those digital ones that you'd use in a family home). If my friend didn't have a discrepancy with her weight, then I would have blamed our cheap little home scale.

I don't have a number set as my goal, so I figure weight loss is weight loss, no matter what I had for my original number. It's a little annoying though!

IA: It's time for our biweekly tea with my father-sin-law. (Depending on how it goes there may be an Inlaw rant later. He doesn't trust my intentions.)

UP: we're going into town tonight for a curry and possibly a pint.

IA: I think my infection isn't improving.

UP: At least it seems to not be worsening. Think I'll go back to the doctor next week.

IA: I got my new glasses last week.  I've not worn glasses regularly in over 20 years, but my far vision has deteriorated to the point where I can't see more than a few feet away without significant blurring.  This means, of course, I can't read signs, see faces, etc.  My eye doctor said my vision wasn't that bad and I needed to only use my specs whilst watching TV, driving, or needing to see things in the distance.  So I tried wearing them only for these things, and it's lead to splitting headaches.  So I have to wear them all the time (which I think is going to ruin my vision).

UP: I like my frames, but this justifies me 1)getting contacts 2)possibly having corrective surgery, which I would love.  Not the surgery so much, but being able to see well without glasses would be great.  It constantly amazes me how much I couldn't see before glasses, so I look forward to the even better vision with contacts or possibly surgery.
