Swedish cucumber salad

Intrigued.

IA: hate going to the hospital, even if it's just for tests  :(

UP: (I hope) there will be more answers about cause & treatment so that I don't spend months being ill again  :)

UP: Sky salesman came by and is going to come back later to get us all squared away with cable, phone and internet.

IA: Everything won't be installed for five days, and I expect even that's a bit optimistic.  :P

IA: Didn't get the job that took 3 interviews and a wait all afternoon.

UP: I know that over 500 people applied for the job and I was 2nd out of the shortlist of 8. They told me that they were really torn and that if there had been 2 positions, I would have gotten the second one.  They're also keeping me in mind if anything pops up in the future.  Not bad for the first proper-ish job I've ever interviewed for!  Least I know I'm doing something right!  ;D

Sorry NOT, but sounds like you did well anyways- you never know- the other person may turn down the job- or another one may open up  :)

Thanks! Yeah, it's not like it was a dream job or anything so I don't feel too horrible about it.  The money would have been nice!  I'm just glad that I managed to get that far.  It's a great confidence boost that I needed to keep on keepin' on with this job search.  :)

Well done you! That's quite amazing & who's to say something better in that organisation doesn't come up with you name on it?  ;)

IA: grouchy  >:(

UP: Mr MLG got me some crisps and defrosted some tarte au citron for laters  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Well done you!

 ;D

IA: Laptop charger gave up the ghost this morning, conveniently while my laptop was almost completely out of charge and I was in the middle of answering e-mails.

UP: Found the receipt in a matter of seconds amongst all my still-packed stuff (miracle!), went into town and got it replaced for free with no trouble from Apple, since the 1 year warranty had only expired last week.  So pleased to not have to buy a new one!

IA:  He has a 2.5 hour commute each way every day.

Strange, my BF started his job today and has a 2.5 hour commute each way as well! lol
Fortunately, the long commute is only because we have 10 days until we can move into our flat that will be a lot closer for him. Hopefully your husband's commute isn't going to be like that for too long?

UP: Our girl cat Mog decided for the first time in two years to sleep under our covers with us last night.

IA: She is currently wearing a ''cone'' on her head so she can't get to her stitches from being spayed last week and the cone kept scratching up against me.  ::)

Wow, that's a weird coincidence.  :)

He will be doing this commute for a couple months and then hopefully he can start working from home two or three days a week.

That's a bit more sane!  ;)

Those students are always getting in the way.  ;) Glad you were able to do it though.

UP: The bike replacement company called me today and said that my bike was in and that it could be delivered tomorrow!

IA: It will be delivered sometime between 9am-6pm tomorrow and they won't call first to say its coming.  So I can either stay home all day waiting (not really a feasible option, as I'm training on the new job so I need to be in the office and not working from home) or miss them and they *may* leave it with a neighbour...   I'm hoping they leave a card so that I can pick it up myself
