The next London Book Club meeting will be 19 September, at 15:00. The book we will discuss is
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.
An intensely articulate, sensible, moving and funny memoir of self-discovery, Eat, Pray, Love is about what can happen when you claim responsibility for your own contentment It is also about the adventures that can transpire when a woman stops trying to live in imitation of society's ideals This is a story certain to touch anyone who has ever woken up to the unrelenting need for change.
We will be meeting at Caffe Nero, located at 386 Chiswick High Road, Chiswick W4 5TF. It's near the Sainsburys, between Chiswick Park and Turnham Green tube stations, on the 267 and 237 bus routes.
We are a very fluid group, and welcome newcomers with open arms, so don't be afraid to join us. You might meet your new best friend!
If there is interest, perhaps we can adjourn after the book club to nearby Wahaca for some great Mexican food and margaritas!
PS: The October discussion will be
Middlesex by Jeffery Eugenides. The exact meeting date, time and place have yet to be decided. Since this a pretty hefty read, we wanted everyone to have plenty of advance notice!
