Kraft Mac and Cheese!
« on: August 02, 2009, 01:26:36 PM »
Vincent and I were out of all the essentials in the kitchen (milk, coffee, bread), but we didn't feel like dealing with the crowds at one of the big supermarket chains. So we decided just to go pick up some things at the local shops on our road. We went to a few different ones, but found some good stuff... Among this good stuff was KRAFT MAC AND CHEESE! I could not believe my eyes. I gasped! I ran to it! They had tons of the stuff... We only picked up 1 box, b/c we weren't sure of the price (it was £1.29) but it's like, practically next door. So I will be stocking up on it! ;D SQUEEEEE

Is it in a red box or a blue box?  Word out there is that the red box is gross, but I got some blue box at Asda last week in the Caribbean section.

Hooray!  I don't even really like Mac and Cheese, but I bought some anyway, just in case.

Yeah, local corner shops in London seem like the best to score American food. I stumbled across Jif, Countrytime lemonade, Aunt Jemima syrup and Mac and Cheese on a trip to mine (though I think I'm getting a bit screwed... £1.79 for my box of Kraft!!)

I've seen it a few places.. Panzers Delicatessen London in St. John's Wood, Selfridges, etc. I live in Kew and found Jif in a cornershop off Sandycombe Rd. (think I paid £4).

I've seen Jif in an American Sweets Shop in Bluewater, but it was an absurd price. I would definitely pay £4... Too bad transport to that part of london would cost more than that ;D

Ha, we have this neat little deli that has some odd American products, like Skippy and BBQ fritos and Pirate's Booty and a few other random things.   I didn't really bother with it, as I was more excited to find South Devon Chili products in there :)
