airport strike by immigration officers?
« on: August 04, 2009, 07:42:13 PM »
has anyone heard anything further about this?  i've only been come across a few articles and wasn't sure how much this was being discussed on the news over there.  i believe it was scheduled for tomorrow if talks failed?

just wondering if anyone has any inklings to how long this would go on, what effects it would have on those entering the uk, etc.  from the way the articles describe it, it sounds like this would create massive delays!

I've not heard anything  on it. But just doing a google search it's set for 24 hours starting August 5...wow, I must not be very well up to date with current events. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8171182.stm

I bet it gets called off before it happens...like these things usually do here.

I thought it had already been called off, but I can't seem to find it now.
